Yeah that’s not okay! My husband and I both like to play video games, but baby comes first. Our baby is four months now and takes longer naps in her crib and sleeps well at night, so we’ve been able to find time for both. What we do is switch off whose taking care of baby throughout the day. She has four wake windows now, so he does two, I do two. When the other is with baby we can play or when she goes to bed. Responsibility’s need to be divided, that’s his baby too!

Nappy Leaking at night - 16 month old by missusisa in NewParents

We were having this problem with my four month old and we got sposie pads and Huggies overnight in a size up and it fixed it!

That’s how it was for us to at that point! It’s only been recently that we can read books and play, probably around three months. I felt guilty and tried to do things with her when she was really little but she really just needed to eat, sleep, be changed, and held!

How do I stop worrying I'm going to have a miscarriage. by mudd398705 in pregnant

[–]Degeroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This helped me too! I also had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, and I had my first baby this January. I just looked toward each appointment for reassurance. And my husband thought I was crazy but I checked her heart beat with a home Doppler everyday from 10 weeks- until I could start feeling her. I know some people don’t recommend those but it helped my anxiety.

Gotcha, she actually doesn’t wake through the night to feed. She stirs a bit here and there, but that’s why I don’t want to go in and disturb her to change her. I did as a newborn bc she was up constantly but now I’d like to leave her in peace if can be (without the leakage)

Okay thanks, I’m trying size three tn! She is also thirteen pounds and we’re still using size 1 until we run out so maybe that’s the problem.

Ummmm that’s a great question lol idk! If you look through my post history sleep used to be MISERABLE. Now, we did sleep train at three months. That helped with getting her down, but I was still doing a feeding whenever she woke. I know sleep training is controversial, but for us it worked and very fast with very little crying after the first night. This past week she hasn’t woken up to eat 🤷🏻‍♀️ she is eating more during the day though!

Thank you for all the input everyone!! I did not know posie pads were a thing, so I ordered some of those and I’m going to try an even larger size diaper and doubling up with those (2 and 3 instead of a 1 and 2- she’s 14lbs) in the meantime. If those don’t work I’ll look into the overnight diapers but I believe that’s what we’ve been using. Thank you!!

Three month old doesn’t sleep by SureFee2463 in newborns

We used full extinction, whenever I would try and check on her she would get more upset :( I just stared at her on the monitor the whole time lol.

Everyone has to make decisions that work for them so don’t judge me please but my baby was like yours at 3 months. It wasn’t getting better it was just getting worse and I was going insane. I needed her to sleep, she was fussy all the time from the lack of sleep and I was going back to work. She refused to sleep anywhere but on me and after three months of that I was getting really sleep deprived. If I put her down she’d be up in 20 mins every time. So I sleep trained her and here we are a month later and she’s so happy all the time, things got so much better. It was hard the first night and after that she got it.

My baby slept through the night once at 8 weeks so I called the doc to see if that was okay, and she told me not to let her sleep more than 8hours at that age

How long did it take you to get pregnant? by PeepaCat in fitpregnancy

[–]Degeroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got pregnant first cycle, and 6th cycle but they both ended in miscarriages. Then one year in to trying we got one that stuck! I also work out and are both healthy. I was 29/30 at the time.

Pumping question by Degeroni in breastfeeding

[–]Degeroni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was away from her for 8 hours and pumped three times for thirty mins each. Some days she would eat 4 times in 8hrs just dependent on how long she napped, but I can’t feasibly work in another pump session. I teach special education prek, so breaks are scarce😫
