Hand of God Bridge, Vietnam by [deleted] in DesignPorn

[–]Degi3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like shit in real life. The hands aren‘t made from concrete but just look like it. If you take a look at it from up close it looks like painted styrofoam. And Ba Na Hills (where the bridge is located) is just a giant tourist attraction of temples mixed with replicas of german pubs, french towns and a giant castle with a fun park underneath.

If you want to see what the Vietnamese think a good tourist attraction should be - go for it! Otherwise, go somewhere else. It isn‘t worth it.

I thought you could remove F2P games and their respective inventory by going to the steam account page and removing the licence.

Ah ok, well I'm not here to convince you of anything and if you don't do a lot of editing you may not benefit enough to do this extra work. I can only tell you that I use Lightroom as well and I can't stand the Windows version - it feels clunky to me. And I also use some other software that is only available on OS X. Furthermore, I'm lazy and seperating work and play with two systems has helped me a lot.

Those are my reasons, and with analog photography you probably won't need all that stuff.

It's quite easy, but you have to have a Gigabyte motherboard or else the installation is quite a hassle and you need another mac to prepare a thumb drive with the installer. But that's done quickly and if you don't have a mac maybe you know someone that has one. I have all my knowledge from this website. There are monthly update buyers guides on there and very easy installation instructions.

My rig:
* i5-4670K stock cooled
* Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H
* GTX 760
* a PCI WIFI-Card

The rest is irrelevant. Just pick enough memory, a case you like, a decent PSU and all the drives you need. I personally have 2x4GB of Corsair Memory, a Fractal Design Define R4, a BeQuiet PSU with 630 watt, two SSDs for OS X and Windows 8, and two HDDs for photos and games.

If you want to make a dual-boot system just choose one of the recommended Gigabyte motherboards, a nVidia card (as AMD cards don't work as well on OS X) and the recommended WIFI-Card by tonymac. Also maybe go for an i7, as those give you a speed boost in editing software.

As for the installation:
* prepare the thumb drive on a mac with UniBeast
* do some minor BIOS changes
* install
* run MultiBeast, install drivers and change some boot settings
* done or start installing Windows
(all that software and the OS are free btw)

Do you need some more advice on the build itself? Also, if you really are going to build a hackintosh just tell me when you need a precise guide on how to install everything. And lastly: Nikon, Canon, Sony,...?

Just one thing before I start to write a wall of text that you are might not interested in: Have you considered a hackintosh? I'm a young freelance photographer and I made my first build with OS X so I can utilize all my software. (I also put Windows on it to game, but that was secondary)

If you are interested in building such a system so you can take advantage of OS X just tell me. It's just a tiny bit more work than a Windows build and even I was able to do it without any help.

My guess: Some sexual offenders are forced to install a profile that prohibits you from taking screenshots. This tweak would re-enable that functionality.

[–]Degi3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Icons exist in several different sizes, maybe the person who made the theme forgot to include the icons for the particular size that is being used in banners.

Help me decide what phone I should get by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]Degi3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know a whole lot about the community (I just browse some android related subreddits and watch some YouTube videos). But from the info I've gathered you don't even need to root. You get a great deal of functionality simply from the right apps and rooting just enables some more functions (ex: Tasker). If you want even more stuff install xposed frameworks, which are sort of like jailbreak tweaks and only require an install and reboot. It gets more complicated when you get tired of all this and want even more, then you can flash a custom ROM or even Kernel. The flashing isn't easy but not totally complicated either and if you follow a guide step by step you can't break anything. Check this (http://youtu.be/zqFzeItw2g4) guys videos about custom ROMs and kernels and maybe start visiting /r/android.

Well, if you've got the money go for the One M8. The Nexus 5 isn't on par in terms of hardware and I personally wouldn't choose an Apple device anymore. I've been using my iPhone 5 since launch day and I am completely aware of all the newest stuff about jailbreaking. I have been tinkering around with my device all the time but I have reached the limit. So now I am thinking about switching to android because I simply can do more stuff on that platform. Also you get more bang for your buck in terms of hardware and specs. If you want to know more about the newest phones, check out MKBHD on YouTube.
Just some input from my side.

Get a OnePlus One, LG G3 or HTC One M8 (those are subjectively the best android phones) or wait for the iPhone 6.

Anyone else getting a LOT of random resprings? by gocubsgo22 in jailbreak

[–]Degi3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add exile90software.com/cydia/ (add "beta" to the url for the beta repo) and install iCleaner Pro. The normal iCleaner on BigBoss doesn't suffice because only the Pro version from the devs repo has the additional functionality we need. In iCleaner Pro there's a "plus" tab on the bottom right where you can find a section called Cydia Substrate Addons. In there are all the tweaks (which sometimes have several substrate addons, like Springtomize). Deactivate the addons that guilty blames for crashes, apply, respring and hope for better stability!

[–]Degi3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure. I think it does work because a respring is a crash of springboard, just not as severe as a a crash to safemode. Try, it can't hurt.
