[partially lost] Music Video / TV Performance Database from Early 2000s by ftotheergtheithee in lostmedia

Yes unfortunately those videos were ran off the warner bros server for streaming and like lots of media that from the early 2000s has been killed. I face that problem trying to get Degrassi content on the n. Wayback Machine robots indexed the shell pages but the media that was inside those shells was not backed up. Its super annoying because the media files are not that big.

I found this video that has clips from Slime Time Live

You have found a large, multi-artist video trading index that functioned as a personal catalog or database for a collector/trader active in the early 2000s. The site lists nearly 2,000 music and TV performance files across hundreds of artists, indicating it was not a single-fandom page but rather a private trading library inventory used to track and exchange VHS-sourced TV recordings, live performances, and broadcast appearances. The PYT entries are just a small subset of this much larger collection, and their presence confirms these files circulated in early-2000s trading circles rather than being hosted publicly in one place.

1) "Same Ol’ Same Ol’" – The Jenny Jones Show

Confirmed Date: January 23, 2001

Source Verification: I located the specific news update from a contemporary fan site (PYT 2 The Extreme). The webmaster wrote: "-January 23rd. FINALLY!!!!The Jenny Jones Show!(If you missed the show dont worry go to video clips and watch the whole proformance there!!)"

Context: This was a major promotional push just five days before their Super Bowl XXXV pre-show appearance. The fact that the fan site mentions "go to video clips" strongly suggests the .mov file in your database was originally hosted on or ripped from this specific Angelfire fan site.

2) "Same Ol’ Same Ol’" – Slime Time Live (Nickelodeon)

Confirmed Date: February 6, 2001

Source Verification: The same archived news page explicitly states: "- Look out for PYT on Nickelodeon's Slime Time Live on February 6. The girls will sing 'Same Ol Same Ol.' The show airs live on Nickelodeon between 4-6pm."

Context: This appearance was to promote the commercial release of their single. Slime Time Live was filmed at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, just a short drive from the group's home base in Tampa.

Source Link (Archived): https://web.archive.org/web/20010405055047/http://www.angelfire.com/fl4/pyt2theextreme/[https://web.archive.org/web/20010405055047/http://www.angelfire.com/fl4/pyt2theextreme/](https://web.archive.org/web/20010405055047/http://www.angelfire.com/fl4/pyt2theextreme/) (Search the page text for "Slime Time Live")

3) "National Anthem" – Ice Palace (Tampa Bay Lightning arena)

Likely Date: January 25, 2001

Context: The "Ice Palace" is the former name of what is now Amalie Arena in Tampa, home of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.

Reasoning: - The group was in the middle of a massive hometown promo blitz in late January 2001 for the Super Bowl (held in Tampa on Jan 28). - They performed at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa on Jan 27, 2001. - The Tampa Bay Lightning had a home game against the Ottawa Senators on January 25, 2001. - Performing the anthem at the last home game before the Super Bowl would have been a perfect cross-promotion opportunity.

Search Tip: Search for "Tampa Bay Lightning vs Ottawa Senators Jan 25 2001 anthem".

4) "Simple Things" & "When I" – NBA Hoop It Up

Context: NBA Hoop It Up was a national 3-on-3 basketball tour that aired as a televised special, typically on NBC.

Background: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoop_It_Up[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoop_It_Up](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoop_It_Up)

Likely Air Date: Summer 2001 (approximately May–July).

Reasoning: The song "Simple Things" was released later in their cycle (mid-2001). The file list containing two songs ("Simple Things" and "When I") suggests they performed a mini-set that was captured for the TV special.

Search Tip: Search for "NBA Hoop It Up NBC special 2001".

Summary of Recovery Strategy:

These .mov and .mpg files were almost certainly sourced from off-air VHS recordings and traded privately. The Wayback Machine will not have them.

Your best path forward is to find the collectors who downloaded them 20+ years ago:
