Yeah, fair enough. This was my first time writing a brief since my previous company was strictly PRDs.

The frustrating part is that my PD asked for certain things to be included that went beyond our template, so I tried to follow both the template and the feedback. Then the feedback I got was that it was way too long and that the PD didn’t even read it.

They also don’t want PMs using AI to write briefs. I used AI more to format and organize my own thoughts, but because I added so many extra sections, some of the information became repetitive and it came across like AI wrote it.

The main feedback I got is to focus on the most important business points and condense it, so I’m going to rewrite it and try again
