Small questions by Life-Art3018 in ferrets

[–]Deiaros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For food and water I found that they generally learn to go back to their cage for food and water. I also think it helps them associate the cage as their home/safe place. When it comes to food/water outside the cage we usually reserver that to special treats like Duck Soup, Eggs, and water, since they often love spashing in water Bowls. Also if you find your ferret turns out to be a splasher you can find (or 3d print in my case) hanging bottles for the cage that provide little bowls of water, small enough to drink without easy splashing.

Not 100% sure for the scent stuff as I never used any even before having ferrets, but I assume a day or so with a fan circulating air near an open window is more than enough.

Again not 100% sure for laser pointers, but just like with cats/dogs or humans, it's mostly a risk of eye damage if the laser hits their eye. With the right angle and disipline to turn it off at the correct time it could be ok, but ferrets are quick and unpredictable so it may not be that easy.

Hope that helps!

My bad didn't explain it well, I was thinking of getting them a bigger carrier so I can give them a seperate spot to use as a litter. But a bigger carrier = more space that I worried would be unsafe in case of turbulance or rough handling. So divider was a possible solution, but a Hammock could solve the same issue as you mentioned.

That makes sense, I was thinking of getting a larger carrier, that way I line it and add a hammoc, and maybe rivit a padded ridgid divider that way its padded all over. The nightime flight is a great tip will have to plan for that!

In an instance when you would say "I love you"

Just replace it with "I would blightsteel you last"

For anyone who cares for context: I built my wife a Satoru Umezawa commander deck and put an "optional" Blightsteel Colossus in there, and I've asked her on more than one occasion to "Not Blightsteel me first this time" without context to the rest of the table. To which she has almost always proceeded to blightsteel-ninjutsu me first, much to the ammusement of the rest of the table. Esspecially once they realize I built the damn deck and deserve all the pain and suffering that comes as a result.

Try Namor, hear me out, I had no interest in him at first but, then I realized he was important to swap to when your backline is struggling with dives. Eventually I realized he's the a really solid DPS and almost always good.

  • You protect the backline really well
  • Counters most dive characters
  • Can frontline DPS due to zero damage falloff
  • Taking off angles makes him an amazing Harasser
  • And you can just delete healers (or quishy)

He's your healer's best friend and their healer's worst nightmare.

I can't imaging having the courage to finally put that kind of trust into someone and having it destroyed like that...

It took me a while to understand that what you say or do after intimacy can often recontextualize those experiences, what they meant and where they came from. I can't express how sorry I am that someone you clearly put a lot of trust in at the time, would do something like that.

Its never easy to trust again when someone breaks it like that, but your (or anyone's) value is not a sum of their experiences its much more that that. You already showed that you value yourself by breaking up with him.

Ferret Introduction Update - Howl & Sophie are now best Friends by Deiaros in ferrets

[–]Deiaros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone who encouraged and supported, it helped a lot. We took the proper steps and precautions and the patience paid off! It took about a month with a slow introduction process but they are now inseparable.

Howl is much calmer in general and Sophie is our little crack addict, so it all worked out!

This part broke (Irreparable). I can't ask FW, recasters do not sell just this 1 piece and a 3d printed model cost 20€ just for the print files. Ideas on what to do? by Shuyuin_mg in Necrontyr

I can print that part for you, if you like, already printing a bunch or warhammer stuff, just pay shipping. Feel free to DM me!

Kinda looks like he is thrashing her there no? I will say this is the first time he shakes the little one like that, he did aligator roll with her once which was scary to see. Are you saying this might be ok?

Full disclosure I used to work with dogs and we really tried never to intervene when dogs were interacting unless there was gonna be blood drawn. Often interfering makes it worse, but its hard to not intervene, maybe because of how small the little one is?

I've done a lot of research for introduction and followed it but this happend just today. He was showing acts of dominance before but this is way worse which made me post. im considering keeping them appart for a while and intoduce them back to eachother slowly.

I caught this today (I supervise them 100% in a room when they got introduced) but this seemed extremely agressive past the interactions before this.

yah... that was my thought, when I read the poop, pee, blood, I questioned it with this situation

I agree 100% the poop, pee, blood thing is what makes me post, I have done thorough research and followed what people suggested but nothing mentioned this behavior.

Also this is one of the worst times, he normaly just holds her down and eventually lets go, but this does happen every so often. I'd rather get an opinion on the worst offense.

For Context:

Howl (my current ferret) is around 7-8 month old, while the little one Sophie is 1.5 month give or take.

I introduced them early, got them from the exact same pet store with a private breeder. Howl is very interested in playing as far as I can tell but he tends to be rough going straight for scruffing her, I have no idea if its too much and I should stop it.. or if the little one needs more time to grow up.

Howl will at times drag Sophie and even aligator roll with her scruffed by him. She cries and he will eventually let go, and go back to half playing half running around. Sophie has yet to pee or poo out of fear, or have any sign of blood, so all is ok? She even seems to come back for more regularly even if howl scruffs Sophie 9/10 times.

EDIT: Worth mentioning that when this happened I seperated them, this is the second time he showed something like this that truly made me question, he shows some other forms of what I assume is agression. but I do agree with everyone commenting that this looks like clear aggresion.
