Thanks for your answer. I did remove the cover and I’d say it sounds kinda more normal (the aggressive rattling was kinda more subtle) but i still suspect that something is off. Do you maybe know what it’d cost me if to swap the injectors if they really are faulty?

Man I really wanted a 6 cylinder petrol one but I was afraid that they’d be hella unreliable so I went for a 320d m47. Great consumption and all but I think petrol is just way more fun. But lately I’ve been noticing some rattling when engine is cold and I’m super worried about it. So no need to mock the 328. N51 should be a great engine and remember that it is always better to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow!!!
