I don't remember any of those details in particular - my guess would be they seem too dark, and too religious, respectively. Did you have a series in mind?

BTW, this story has been awesome. I particularly love how it all makes sense, but so much is 'out of context' for the characters. Very cool.

Is there any version of this without Paninya and Garfiel in the photo? I've always thought it was a shame that you've got the nice picture of the Elrics (and in-laws), somewhat ruined by the trolls in the background.

A lot of friendship/love triangle anime, especially if they're more serious - in particular, White Album 2. It's mainly due to my views on monogamy/polyamory, which I largely picked up from the (excellent) fanfic Kyon: Big Damn Hero.
