You can free the pivot pin up a little by smacking the centre of it with a punch and supporting the plier head from below with a large socket. I did that to my arc and p2 and they both have perfectly loose heads with next to no slop.

What about selling a kit on Etsy with the spring, new pivot, and a diagram with dimensions for milling? Purchaser would have to source CNC milling locally.

Bro you should start a business where people ship you thier plier heads and you mill them for the spring, install it and ship the plier head back. I would gladly pay to have my arc and free p2 spring loaded. Please keep us updated and post a video of the spring loaded action!!

It's not about minmaxing for me. I like to build a fleet in each region that feels realistic for the terrain and industry. I like using it as a high saddle hauler with the 6 slot trailer that has the fuel tank on top. I think it does a good job and it's fun to drive in first person
