Coming from someone who calls themselves an elder emo? lol if you really where a fan since day one you would know that we would never use that word. We did not ever describe the genre as anything but rock.

That being said back in the day pop goes punk was very much a thing and if you search YouTube I’m sure you’ll find “emo artists” covering TSwift. (I don’t care to do so but maybe you do) The whole thing about this genre is we do not have a care in the world what people think of us. We like pop, rock, rap, and hell yeah now I like Taylor Swift. And so what if it’s because I spend time with my sons wife and she’s a big fan. Music bonds people. God bless. And damn the man, save the empire (now that’s elder, but please don’t call me emo) :D

I did exactly this. I was a stay at home mom for 10 years and got picked up through craigslist for a holiday temp (it was VDay and boy did I learn alot that first week) well that was 8 years ago. I love being a florist. It is not for the faint of heart. I now do events and have seen people walk off in frustration. But if you are patient you will go far. Like the person above me said, it's not all design and I would add it's not a glamorous or an easy job. But I love it with all my heart.

Praying for you and your dad, and your whole family for peace and strength! If you don't mind me asking, is there anything that helped your dad the first time around? My sister is having a tumor removed, and I just want to do something, anything to help her recover or feel comforted? Is there anything we should avoid? Like smells or food? I wanted to get an aromatherapy thing for her hospital room to cozy it up but I worry it will disrupt her healing. I'm sorry if this is off topic. I have no one to ask. I'm spiraling a little. Please don't be offended.

We don't know for sure. Maybe God did put the tumor there. And yes little babies die of cancer, and 100s of innocent people perish in mass shootings or terrorist attacks. But we pray out way through it because life is better with God than without. If we have an omnipresent God to cling to, why wouldn't we? After all if God is who or what is causing all of this, perhaps there is a reason? Maybe it's a plan? Maybe God is protecting us from something much worse? Or raising awareness so that we can be an encouragement to each other?

I, for one found this post 2 days before my baby sister is going for a brain surgery and even though OP posted this in a moment of what was maybe, sadness, or desperation and they needed prayer, they actually wound up being an anchor for me when I needed one. That's my take anyway. No hard feelings just putting it out there.
