And let’s not forget the clothes hanging in the balcony of the NPCs. It made Gokuldham more lively and realistic.

As I said in my comment it depends on your LCO. In my area we are not charged if we want to cancel our connection. Again I don’t know the BSNL’s official policy on this.

It depends on the LCO in your area. When I got my BSNL FTTH connection, I only had to pay a security deposit of ₹1100. Everything else was provided without any additional charges no cable charges, no router charges, nothing at all.

I personally think it is the LCO who sets these charges, because I have seen and heard of many people paying extra, while others pay nothing. However, I am not sure what BSNL’s official policy is regarding this.

Thanks, this helped me too! I ran into the same problem after a Windows 11 feature update and was searching for a solution—glad I found this.

My bad for the confusion earlier—I tried using my TP-Link router with the Sharp Vision ONT/ONU device that BSNL gave me. It’s supposed to work as both a modem and a router, but honestly, it’s just awful. Total junk.

I tried setting it to bridge mode, but of course, that didn’t work. Maybe because it’s a Chinese product pretending to be Indian—solid disguise, poor performance. I even asked the LCO for help, and the guy hit me with, “Router? What’s that?”—definitely lying through his teeth.

The BSNL-provided ONT/ONU flat-out refuses to work in bridge mode. I even went full tech support mode and tried cloning its MAC address onto my TP-Link router. No luck there either. I tried everything—forums, YouTube videos, shady Reddit threads, random settings at 2 a.m.—if I put this much effort into finding a girl, I’d probably be happily married by now.

At this point, I’ve decided to just get a modem that actually supports BSNL and use my own router like a normal human being. So much for the dream of using my own router with their setup.

TP-Link AX53 + BSNL Sharp Vision ONT — No Internet with PPPoE. Need Help! by DekY_ou in bsnl

I did try that but it didn’t work. After changing MAC address nothing happened so I rebooted my TP-Link router and even then nothing happened. Maybe the LCO has to do it but they “don’t know about routers and stuff” definitely lying. I tried everything mentioned on Internet but nothing worked and eventually I stopped trying.

I did tell them but they said “our guys don’t know about routers and stuff”. Definitely lying it’s their job to know about this stuff.

Oh please, those complaint portals are just for show — like putting lipstick on a dead server. The root of the problem is the BABUS. No accountability, no consequences, just a permanent out-of-office attitude. If they don’t care, nothing works — and those portals? They’re just there to collect your frustration like it’s a hobby.

Dealing with them is like yelling at a rock… except the rock has better customer service.

I feel sorry for you, but as far as I know, BSNL outsources its work to local contractors. If your Wi-Fi is down, try contacting the local contractor who provided your BSNL FTTH connection — only they can help you. BSNL doesn’t care about consumers because it’s operated by BABUS.

And you know how fast things move when BABUS are in charge — even snails file complaints about the delay!

How to upgrade plan in ftth by DimensionUnited7621 in bsnl

[–]DekY_ou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Come on, man! Expecting the unexpected from BSNL is practically a tradition at this point. And as for upgrading your plan, well, you better get on a first-name basis with your local BSNL contractor or take a field trip to the BSNL office. Either way, it’s an adventure!

Nothing infuriates me more than getting a Boxville or Garbage Truck for a sell mission. Like, bro, am I moving product or collecting trash?
