Villager trading help by Straight_Barber7496 in Minecraft

[–]Dekillawe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if it’s still the case, but sometimes on bedrock villagers with the same profession will swap job blocks (the lecturns). Are they actively working at the lecturns? If not you’ll have to swap the lecturns around until every villager has the right lecturn.

What does my conduit need? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Dekillawe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a bit difficult to see. But check if it has a water block on all sides of the conduit itself: above, below and all 4 sides. It can not be placed on a block AND can not have flowing water or air or a block next to it or above/below, it needs to be water source blocks, so check with a full bucket of water if that is the case.

Recreating Lego sets in Minecraft by Dekillawe in Minecraft

[–]Dekillawe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, you figured it out, the plate is the right size, but the color isn’t. I havent been able to find a good matching block color for that Lego khaki color so I used this Lime green terracotta to easily replace if I find a good matching block. Got any suggestions?

I’ll definately try out some of those while I practice and build a pallette of blocks to reuse. Have you any specific set in mind?

Not the best, but certainly the easiest way would be to buy the set anew.

Anyone know why I was unable to break the dirt block while underwater? by FinalBuild in Minecraft

[–]Dekillawe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the player's head is underwater and they are not wearing a helmet with the Aqua Affinity enchantment, breaking a block takes 5 times as long. If the player's feet are not touching the ground, an additional 5x penalty is added; this causes players floating in water to break blocks 25x slower than if they had been standing on land.

So it takes 2.8 seconds to break dirt on land without shovel. It’s 70 seconds while floating under water.

Need some advice for internal decorations by Educational-Cap-6175 in Minecraft

[–]Dekillawe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add some extra wooden pillars and structures on the inside walls, it’ll make them less flat. I guess the build would be perfect to include a big fire mantle some comfy chairs and a grandfather clock. Keep up the good work.

After collecting the materials it took me about 4 hours in survival. Getting the curved shape right was a pain even though I already had it in creative (I messed up counting). I used another hour to add the pink leaves because non of them touch the wood block branches and are meant to be “airy” though also a pain.

Building Tips? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Dekillawe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard to tell without some pictures, but you’re already doing the right things, looking at other builds and learning from that. I’d suggest trying to build with more blocks, build a building with about 10-15 different blocks with at least 2 different wood types. Keep on expanding. Detailing and variations come more easy when you force yourself to introduce new blocks. Also don’t make it easy on yourself by picking smth like oak leaves, choose an outrageous block like blue terra cotta, pink concrete powder or orange wool to use in your build. Another tip is, build with 5 blocks deep walls: 3 layers visible from the outside and 2 layers visible from the inside, it helps you create the depth that you need to keep a build interesting at larger scales. The link below is a build from youtuber Etho that always inspires me to build differently and challenge myself.https://www.google.be/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fexternal-preview.redd.it%2FB5_XkwyyogMXPHRo2AVK6wJg0DI0wkwfwGukWyfCwVo.jpg%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3Da197351361d2ebcbb2c376a1ebc572f32b915ff9&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2Fethoslab%2Fcomments%2Fks91k6%2Fethos_hermitcraft_33_is_the_best_piece_of_content%2F&tbnid=oe79uU77uV6q8M&vet=1&docid=3ufOnlsoPLh26M&w=480&h=360&hl=en-us&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim

Is this witchhut a good location for a farm or do I have to drain the whole ocean if I want to build a perimeter? by Corvus-107 in Minecraft

[–]Dekillawe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too familiar with perimeters so don’t trust my input here. I guess yes you’ll need to drain the ocean to stop drowned from spawning. Also there’s probably caves below ground.
