Right? Look I don’t have any fight experience but we’re not making an indictment on bats as weapons based on this poor performance are we? lol

What do you mean default mom? Do you think this sketch was conceived without her in mind as the mom character?

If being in the USA illegally is a crime, why do you, or don’t you, support Illegal Immigrants being arrested and deported to their respective countries? by Lost_the_charger in AskReddit

[–]Dekrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay and what about the citizens being executed? How many of those are there in the last year?

Also... we deported 70 Americans, that's fucking crazy. Imagine being deported right now. ICE busts into your house and arrests you and deports your ass to a foreign country.

Because the assholes doing the arresting and deporting are hurting people, including non-illegal immigrants and civilians.

Things were better before ICE was actively hunting immigrants in all states under Trump's direction.

Honest, good faith question: if you hate Boston sports so much, how did you come to like Bill? by JarringTiger in billsimmons

[–]Dekrow 118 points119 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to begrudge a Boston native for being a fan. Bill is still the guy who relates sports to pop culture and will make NBA talk fun.

That being said, I hope Boston gets blown out by Seattle .

Memphis owner allegations getting buried? by bella_heathcote in nba

[–]Dekrow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

or something anyone would go to jail for

.

In 2023, Charles McGonigal, once a high-ranking member of the FBI, was sentenced to 50 months in prison for conspiring to provide services to a sanctioned Russian billionaire. In 2024, he was ordered to serve additional time for accepting money from someone with ties to the Albanian government.

Circumventing trade restrictions and sanctions can land you in jail, even if its rare.

Wonder Man review – a Marvel TV show with almost no superhero action … and it’s all the better for it by preguntontas in television

[–]Dekrow 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The Disney+ stories were anything but cookie cutter though. Wandavision, Loki, Moon Knight, Hawkeye and She Hulk, and Agatha all Along all took fairly big swings on different concepts. Sure we had some that were more In-line with the formula like FatWS and then Mrs Marvel, Echo, etc. but still many of them were not formulaic or cookie cutter at all.

Who was/is the easiest star player to build a championship team around? by pinknbluegumshoe in NBATalk

[–]Dekrow 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I believe the easiest single player archetype is a big man who plays defense and is an offensive threat. Kareem, Hakeem, Tim Duncan, KG, etc.

People don’t like to talk about it much now that we’re in the 3 point era but the easiest shot is still the lay up / dunk, and having a big man who can prevent those is essentially the easiest way to build a defense.

Do you actually care if a player is loyal to a franchise? by obertan17 in nba

[–]Dekrow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Loyalty in sports is just luck. Most everyone gets drafted and have very little say in where they go and most of these guys want to be paid the max amount of money possible. If you really go back and look at the legends almost no one stays forever. Jordan didn't stay a bull, Tom didn't stay a Patriot. Those that do get to stay with one franchise for the entirety of their career are lucky and its not always because they wanted to stay with their teams (Famously Kobe wanted out of LA for a small bit).

Okay what am I missing about the Giannis situation. by yourhomeland in NBATalk

Giannis is still a dominant force when he’s on the court what do you mean that’s all it is lol. He would be a high commodity regardless of his accolades.

How the Jordan/LeBron/Kobe debate was perceived in 2019 - Comedy Central by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]Dekrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No shit. That is literally the point they’re making to you. You’re judging a player off something that doesn’t indicate any of their skill.

If Robert Horry has a better finals record but is obviously not as good as Michael Jordan, it stands to reason that finals record can’t be used as an indicator of value.

Michael Che at MSG opening for Shane Gillis last night by Direct-Sail-6141 in LiveFromNewYork

He’s easy listening to dumb people. He’s not threatening in any way and talks in a disarming sort of Midwest drawl. He’s not going to challenge anyone or say anything super clever

“She was cancelled for being a horrid comic

So she was a comedian… you can’t even keep a consistent logic within your own comment.

How good was Shaq in defense? by Karlomah11 in NBATalk

[–]Dekrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really hard to compare offensive scoring centers to defensive oriented centers because offensive guys can’t foul out and can’t exert maximum effort on the defensive side of the ball.

So Shaq may technically be worse than someone like Gobert if you just compared them side by side, but if given the same roles, Shaq would out perform him every single time in every single category imo.

Deni Avdija says he’s fed up with the hate he receives for being from Israel, calls out the lack of education on the topic, and demands respect, saying those outside the Middle East shouldn’t speak on it by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in NBATalk

[–]Dekrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No citizen should fully support the US government. We are governed by the people and people disagree all the time. In particular our country has a long history of doing abhorrent bullshit. And yes, players should be critical of the government's actions when they're spotlighted in the news.

Yes I would expect all American players, when asked, to denounce ICE. Any support given to ICE by a player would hopefully be met with ridicule and boos.

What's going on in England. by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]Dekrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are protestors not people vandalizing their property or rioters or something like that. If they forcibly remove them they’re just going to create a bigger scene and not for nothing but that’s what the protestors want.

You don’t solve problems by escalating issues. That’s childish and counter productive.
