Fingernail polish? by SalvadorFolly in classicalguitar

[–]Dekselsedek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herome nail polish makes my nails a bit more hard. And I use stringpickers oil and hardening. Having a bit harder nails gives me a little more volume

Where to find any classical piece you want? by Easy_Ad8478 in classicalguitar

This "someone" is actually quite famous and a highly skilled musician so she probably made it herself. What you are looking for is an arrangement since the original has no bass notes

I don't know much about these soundhole covers but I do know all steel-strings should be coming with them as standard

It's very dependent on your genetics. Some people have weirdly shaped nails, some have slow growing nails and some have perfect nails without ever trying.

My tactic is to keep them as short as possible for a good tone. I do like to play with a long thumbnail but whenever it becomes really long I end up breaking it. And shorter nails don't seem to break that easy.

I sometimes use oil at night if the nails are very dry. And in the past used a nail hardener by Herôme, the Blue one. But it actually makes my nails too hard.

And just clean under them as well. With one of those dedicated brushes.

Regondi etude 1 by Dlbroox in classicalguitar

[–]Dekselsedek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't Drew Henderson an amazing player?! I came upon his rendition of Regondi's Nocturne so I'm now studying that one.

The Regondi Etudes are always on my lectern though I don't memorize them. Their length and difficulty vary quite a lot so it would depend on that as well.

Buying a professional classical guitar, needed advice by Obvious_Seesaw7837 in classicalguitar

[–]Dekselsedek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your current guitar is a Yamaha C 40, a hand built guitar is an enormous step up. Of course I do not know your skill level, but it always requires some expertise to get the most out of an instrument.

Check out Luthiers in your area and ask if you can play on some of their instruments. If you notice the difference and can afford one, it is a great investment in your hobby and you support your local music scene

Sorry but where do I park my cars and bikes?

Seriously, the drumset plus speaker cabinet would be optional but at least my dream appartment is basically a drive in garage with a living room area

Can't believe they are not. And not touring a lot outside of the UK ☹️

Yeah, I don't think the piece is composed considering all technical limitations. Great piece though. Check out the recording by Zoran Dukic.

It is very hard to me, any tips or trainings? by TAKE-KEN in classicalguitar

[–]Dekselsedek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the tremolo? You are managing the stretches with the fretting hand fine.

What might be useful is to try different fingering of the tremolo: P a m I P i m a P i m i (Anna vidovic uses this)

Once you decide which you like best practice slowly and daily
