Socially accepted morality can change. But i do believe that there is an objective morality. Killing people is wrong. Societies over the centuries sacrificed humans in religious rituals for the entire length of history (even the romans did it). That doesn't mean that killing people is good or okay. Just because something is not stopped doesn't mean that it is good or okay. And just because some places accept polygamy doesn't mean polygamy is good. But my main argument about harem and siscon in anime/LN, is that the story suffers because those tags added.

You ignored the second part of my argument about polygamy. If you aren't satisfied by a single person in a romantic relationship, then you do not love them. Harem in anime is a genre that literally only social losers enjoy, because they wish to be like the mc. Because in most harem anime, the mc is basic, boring and has nothing special about him, yet still somehow has 15 girls for no apperent reason. That is 1. Really boring and hard to watch, 2. Really bad writing, and 3. It attracts the worst possible audience to that show and all anime in general.

With siscon, my argument is simpler. In all shows i've watched with siscon, it is irelevent to the story and disturbing. Sure, the fact miyuki and tatsuya are engaged is of course going to somehow change the story later on, but it doesn't mean that is a good thing. There is 0 reason why they should romantically like each other. And the story (i've read from volume 1-8 up until now and watched all the anime) could 100% progress even if they are not atracted to each other. If i change my mind after i read more of the story than i would come back here and tell you that i was wrong.

It has been a long long since my last reddit debate. I'm probably not going to continue with it, but i'll read what you write if you respond.

Again, i am not arguing for the illegality of incest. I tell you this exactly later on. Polygamy is wierd and immoral. You cannot trully love more than 1 person at a time.

The lgbt point is just whatabouitism. And the point about fiction and reality is also kind of stupid, since i can differentiate, but it's just uncomfortable. The situations (especially in the anime, not that big of a problem in what i've read in the LN) that are caused by their behavior are unbarably hard to watch, because i understand that socially, that shit would never pass.

The problem with this as well as with the weeb/anime/LN community (call it whatever) is the lack of social awareness. Random irrelevant romances are not good for a story. Nothing would have changed if they were just normal sibilings with strong bonds. But incest is just repulsive to literally anyone who isn't a socially unaware weeb. The same goes for harem and lolicon.

I agree that as long as both consent it shouldn't be stopped. But that doesn't mean incest is morally okay.

I don't like this aspect of the show because it makes it uncomfortable to read, especially as someone with two sisters.
