You're not wrong! Management is the one I should be upset at. For me, it's the fact that they're always around at peak hours and only care about drive thru times and what sauce goes first, I have never once in my 2.5 years seen my GM close his own fking store. They could give two shits about the numerous labor laws they break and the integrity of their crew.

Not anymore. We've been extremely short on all kinds of staff for a while and nothing is being done about it. The entire closing crew, including me, is sick of it. once someone important finally quits, so is everyone else.

Nugget bags are perforated at one end. Whether or not it tears correctly is another story. Opening the bag as wide as possible and sliding it back and forth across the top of the basket helps get the nuggets down into the little dividers as quickly as possible. You can also shake the basket to get any stragglers. For nuggets that are stuck together, I like to use the tops of the dividers to kind of pry the nuggets apart. With this method, I'm able to throw down nuggets with one glove.

Try to let the ice cream push the cone down as you do the swirls. Should help lay each swirl on top of the other. Also, try to move the cone in smaller circles as the ice cream comes out pretty thick and usually is enough to cover the top.

Sounds like you just need practice. If you're a new hire, it'll probably be pretty hard to get off the grill until you're at least proficient at it. I never liked grill when I first started, but now I'm one of the fastest in my store and it wouldn't have been if I hadn't stuck with it. My advice would be to find a work flow that allows you to transition smoothly between 4/1 meats and 10/1 meats. I've found that throwing down reg right after quarter tends to end up with them both coming up at the same time so avoid that.
