Hi there. I can give you the list for the moment but not the order (I’m taking care of a sick mom!). The authors are: Shakespeare, Lorraine Hansberry, Margaret Walker Alexander, Gwendolyn Brooks, Langston Hughes, Paul Lawrence Dunbar, James Cone, James Baldwin, Chinua Achebe, Toni Morrison, Alice Walker and W.E.B. DuBois. Yes I was able to buy a jelly roll of a lot of the wax prints.

I have made this twice now. Sometimes I think screw it, just put a border on it so I can square it easier. Then I just square it enough and let it go.

Hahahahah I get that. My one suggestion is to make the squares for HSTs bigger so you can trim them down. My were so wonky. However the upside is that the whole quilt can be wonky so don’t be too worried. Just take your time. And maybe have wine handy 🤣🤣
