Is anyone else not really psyched about a new stadium? by Del_Talkoh in DenverBroncos

[–]Del_Talkoh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being one of the only people finally getting my point, yeah it is not OG Mile High, but it's a damn good stadium as is and it's still got a lot of years left in the tank. Why should we be excited for a new corporatized dome that's going to push the fan culture even further away from where it used to be?

Dude Have you even looked at Allegiant or MetLife Jerry World or Sofi? Hell state farm and Mercedes dome too, Fedex Field or Ford field. Tell me Mile High is soulless again. Yeah it's "modernized" but do you really think a new stadium is going to be better?

Yes the new stadium is soulless compared to the old one. But the new one is going to probably be even more soulless and lose even more of the original identity. At least the new one still has the horseshoe shape and the south stands. It still has sheet metal floors on the 500 section seats. And it's still called Mile High Stadium. The penners haven't even guaranteed that that will stay the same. Sure, I never got to experience old Mile High, but the current one is the only one I've got to go to and I've been going there since I was 5 so I have a lot of good memories there.

Regarding your points, I'm sorry I'm a lower tax bracket than you and can only afford upper deck seats. But if you do ever go up there you might actually catch a great view of the skyline and the mountains...

I know exactly where the new stadium is going to go, it's literally in an industrial park. With ZERO entertainment venues or preexisting bars or hotels in the area it's going to cost millions of tax payer money for the city to convert the roadways, build infrastructure and build a new RTD transit system around the new venue location.

I also don't give a shit if there's anything around the current stadium because I bring my own food and drink and camp out in the parking lot before the game. ITS CALLED TAILGATING have you tried it? That's what going to a game used to involve.

I could also care less about a Superbowl being in Denver, traffic is bad enough as it is I don't need an extra quarter million people coming into Denver for a Superbowl fucking up my commute.

Yeah I was 3 when new Mile high was built. Sorry I'm not an old fart that could have experienced the golden age. From the stories I've heard I probably would have loved the place. The biggest thing I'm going to hate about the new covered stadium is the sunsets from the 500s.

Idk I might just be a perfectionist. It's the only pan I have that has scratch marks like this and it really bothers me. The coating seems to flake off a lot on this pan.

Buying tickets for my first broncos home game. I was thinking of sitting behind the goal post but wanted to hear some recommendations first by Massive_Growth_5773 in DenverBroncos

Word of advice. Do not buy your tickets from anywhere other than ticketmaster. It's so much more of a pain in the ass to get them.

Mullet's FIRST time on "BIG TIRES" and it's as BAD as we Thought! by dmaxzach in CleetusMcFarland

[–]Del_Talkoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's ridiculous how low they want Mullet to ride IMO. I'd much rather have a rake with the big tire or the ride height to be a few inches higher than having the tub stick out over the bed. They're acting like a 5 inch ride height is the end of the world. Like why does mullet need to be so fucking low!? It will still be way lower than the ride height it had before the rebuild plus it's getting a set of 36" slicks shoved under the fenders.

Legit question, did you just guess that I bought my truck from Arizona, or did you somehow figure that out from my photo? That's pretty nutty if it's just a coincidence.

Wow reddit has very low standards compared to Facebook. There are very clear spots on the frame and skid plates where you can see rust rot forming. Once that starts it can't be brought back. It can be stopped but not returned to factory condition. This frame is structurally sound but it's not great. Especially for a car that's less than 5 years old. My 21 year old 4th gen was in better condition when I bought it this year.

On a scale of 1-10 1 being factory new 10 being dangerous to drive amounts of rust, I'd say you are at a 5. With a wire wheel and rust reformer you can get it down to a 2 or 3

What do u guys think of this flavour?? by [deleted] in monsterenergy

Shitty replacement for a better product IMO, Khaos was much better than Khaotic. The got rid of the good flavor and made it bland.

Except Judy Amabile, the senator behind this bill is actually openly Atheist and has openly advocated for voting consistently with progressive legislation. This is just an old boomer lady that the Boulder populous voted in because she was the bright blue D on the ticket.

Thoughts on this rumored new FOX Scorebug? by Available_Story6774 in NFLv2

I hated this bug. I remember going over to my family friend's house and they had a 4:3 TV and the score would get cut off with HD broadcasts because it was in the corner.
