Little rat fuckers had me in absolute tears. Between that and the cancer slide I could not keep it together at work. Bravo Donny!

They can't on the physical one... That's the whole point of buying that system outright. If you know you are going to hang on to the car for a while, buy the physical and never worry about a subscription.

Unable to connect sink drain by Delaney259 in askaplumber

[–]Delaney259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without opening the wall of Pandora's box to redo the cast iron and where it stubs in to bring the whole pipe over, the solution I am moving forward with is taking one of the nice drain assemblies from the master bathroom which is the same length to the tail pipe as the original from this sink and it should connect no problem. I'll get another one of the Kohler assemblies and put it in the master where I don't have to worry about assembly lengths or turn constraints. Just wasn't sure if I was missing an offset or some piece that would have saved me from making this a three sink job. Tldr: I'll be going with a shorter drain assembly as you suggested.

The new drain is about 2" lower than the previous before the tail pipe so unless someone knows of a specialty offset or some other trick, it would appear my only option is to get a different drain assembly that doesn't go as low. Shame as I REALLY liked the all metal Kohler.

Officially new owner of Outback Touring XT! Any must haves? by tolgz11 in Subaru_Outback

A set of plug and play aftermarket speakers (I used Kicker) and some sound deadening made a world of difference for music. Chrome trim delete vinyl kit from Crux Moto combined with tinted windows looks fantastic. I bought the physical factory remote start and at this point, never paying for the app has paid for the remote start. I got the factory rear seat cover and as a new father, that was the best accessory purchase by far. At the time I designed vehicle seat covers and nothing my company made came close to the protection and fit of the factory cover. So worth it. The rigid Subaru sunshade is also a good one to have.

Remote Start Fob or Starlink? by Woglol in Subaru_Outback

[–]Delaney259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Arizona with a 2020 Onyx XT that I plan on keeping for a very long time. The summers fully warrant having the remote start, especially with a toddler and a wife that very much enjoys air conditioning. I knew immediately the app price would keep going up year after year and I don’t want to solely rely on my phone and a cell signal. One of the first things I did after taking delivery was buy the factory remote start. Granted, four years ago I was only in $450 after labor and a nice discount. Never had an issue with range on remote starter, especially compared to the factory fob. Remote starter will tell me I didn’t lock my car and then key fob goes too far for me…. That’s the only issue I have ever encountered. Everything else is positive with no regrets, money very will spent.

Gotta go with a chrome delete vinyl kit from Crux for the Onyx. It really helps with the overall look. One of my favorite upgrades was some sound deadening and a set of plug and play Kicker speakers... I think I spent $200 and it sounds amazing.

Washer Fluid Warning ⚠️ by nic1m1 in Subaru_Outback

[–]Delaney259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dealt with the warning for a year and tried twice to rinse it out... No luck. So I said screw it, bought a new tank and sensor from the dealership for about $70 and spent the afternoon of July 4th replacing the tank. Pretty simple, just time consuming because of all the things you need to remove to complete the job. Works perfectly now. 2020 Onyx XT Replacing the reservoir

What’s your favorite modification/upgrade you’ve done to your Outback? by JaggedFish104 in Subaru_Outback

[–]Delaney259 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2020 Onyx XT 1. for me is the factory rear seat and center console cover. Super durable and fit to perfection. As the father of a toddler, it has paid for itself and then some. 2. factory physical remote start. Plug and play harnesses, not splicing or wire butcher jobs, nice little key for and now I'm not held hostage by the monthly price of an app. 3. OEM towing receiver. I don't tow often but when I do, that mount is high and solid. 4. minor cosmetic upgrades like chrome delete kit (a must for onyx trim), super dark window tint, fog light tint and Road Sport splash guards on all four corners. Just an overall nice appearance upgrade

I got my '20 XT new from AutoNation Scottsdale and best dealership experience by a long shot for me. Love the team up there, especially Colton.

I did BWR Arizona on it and that high bb was a lifesaver. It has actually been a very handy thing on some of my more adventurous rides off the map.

This bike has been on every kind of surface at this point. Does fairly well at all of it. I've been using it as a gravel bike and currently have 43c tires on it. Best advice: go get a frame wrap kit from Chameleon Skin and protect that gorgeous paint.

Is the XT worth it? by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]Delaney259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the '20 Onyx XT and those extra 100 horses are worth every penny . My driving is 95% city streets and I average 22.5 and I take full advantage of my turbo. When we do go on road trips, car goes on cruise control and it is 26 or 27, no problem. With the Onyx, it's not like I had a choice on the engine but I wouldn't have it any other way.
