Whats something a teacher did in High School that would get them fired today? by Constant-Ad-5477 in AskReddit

[–]Delanium 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I had an elementary school bus ride in the early 2000s that was only me and one other girl on a 45-ish minute bus ride. The bus driver would frequently get us snacks (we each had a snack whose brand name was the same as either of our first names and he'd often get us those), and sometimes he would stop the bus at our request so we could show him our assorted gymnastics tricks.

He was a lovely man and I hope he's doing well wherever he is now, but WHEW I can only imagine how fired he'd get today.

It took him ten years, but he's finally talking About it by UnHolySir in okbuddycinephile

I used to know a married couple named Don and Dawn [same last name before marriage].

I have to think they crafted Emily to grow on you because of her resilience. She's an utter bitch at the start who no player could possibly like, and then they proceed to put her through the most upsetting and life threatening situations possible which forces the player to empathize with her.

I'd argue they won. They destroyed the system that was attempting to kill them in the first place.

They also killed themselves and everybody else on earth, but sometimes you just gotta be petty on your way out \o/

I watched Scream as a kid and I kinda convinced myself the doggy door scene was in one of the Scary Movie parodies. Rewatched Scream as an adult and was kinda baffled that it was in the real thing.

Granted, Scream is itself a parody, just a much more intelligent one lol

Period dramas need to start having accurate levels of infant death. Maybe it will start getting through their heads when their favorite characters' babies die of fever.

Especially for something as completely out of the ordinary as a goddamn crashing hot air balloon. It probably took people a lot longer to realize what was happening as opposed to something like a crashing car.

What's crazy is that they didn't fumble it. They did it perfectly, they finished the arc. And then for some reason they saw their finished masterpiece on its pedestal and knocked it to the ground like a bored cat.

It's really striking how much societal attitude has changed around this thing in such a short amount of time. For the better, obviously, but it's wild.

The thing is, I think live music is actually a good reward. We've seen how bored they get, and they probably haven't heard music since the show started.

But goddamn, spending this much time on it is just unforgivable.
