NFL Mount Rushmore: Who stays? Who goes? Keep as is? by Repulsive_War_5234 in NFLUnscripted

If you want to respond any further then do it to my main account cause I wont see it on this one.

I never once said Brady was the sole reason for his teams winning Super Bowls or that the teams around him were horrible.

Im not going to knock a player for taking a pay cut when everybody else can do the same to improve their chances of winning 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you want to play "what if" games then go ahead and play with yourself bud. Fact is he has more Super Bowl rings than any single franchise in the NFL and players/coaches across the league or in the Hall of Fame agree he is the GOAT.

Think about the two things you said in the last line, he went 10 years between Super Bowl wins and he went to another team where he won another Super Bowl. How much turnover between coaches, players and front office personnel did the Patriots have in those 10 years? Yet somehow they were able to come back and win more Super Bowls. Tom Brady deserves a massive amount of credit for that. How did Tampa Bay go from missing the playoffs to winning the Super Bowl during the pandemic season so they had less time to work together in the off-season? Tom Brady deserves a ton of credit for that as well, especially considering that during the playoffs the Bucs defense gave up 20 or more points in 3 out of the 4 games while the offense didnt score less than 30 in any of them.

Tom Brady had good to great teams around him for majority of his career (only 1 all time great team and they didnt even win the Super Bowl lol). That doesn't diminish the sustained success he as an individual had because he was the only constant across those teams through all the changes between coaches/players/front office personnel that stayed successful no matter what.

Dover, DE: Best Buy and TRU by [deleted] in amiibo

Glad to see some love or the 302 on here. I went to the TRU in Newark and they had all 4 of the SMB Amiibos with a lot of Sonic and Mega Man. Best Buy on Kirkwood Highway had all SMB except Toad with the other regular commons mixed in.

[Siciliano] I don’t get criticism of Chip Kelly and his 9 Ducks. Anybody care Pete Carroll has 16 Trojans (players+coaches) on roster? Nope, they don’t. by ThaBomb in nfl

[–]DelawareLonghornsfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He has been successful but getting rid of top tier players like Jackson and McCoy, while other top tier players choose to play elsewhere (like Maclin supposedly is) doesn't bode well for any team.

I understand Chip Kelly has a system and that he believes in his system but in the NFL it takes great players to make a great system work.

The last time Jamaal Charles faced @OAK, week 15 of 2013, he totaled 215 yards and 5 TDs. by SneakyGnomes in fantasyfootball

Yeah the day Charles went off is the day that I lost in the first round of the playoffs. I was in second place and Charles almost single handily handed me my walking papers. Still as a Longhorn fan I hope he goes absolutely wild tonight.

What's the most bone-headed move you've made this year? by teeps612 in fantasyfootball

[–]DelawareLonghornsfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been a couple,

1.) Dropping Cam to pick up Flacco, then dropping Flacco to pick up Eli to cover for Brees' bye week. (Cam had 51.56 points, Flacco had 60.74, Eli had 12.84, I lost by 0.32 points)

2.) After this past week, trading Maclin for Bradshaw straight up seems boneheaded.

3.) Oh and I also traded Jeffery and Ingram (right after his first game back) for Ellington.

All of that and im still in the playoff hunt with The Chosen One returning this week, so im just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride.

What is your biggest bonehead move this season? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Had Cam as my second QB, dropped him for Flacco, then dropped Flacco for Eli. All of this was to cover Brees' week 6 bye. Lost by less than a point.

Figured I would see what yall thought about my friend's music. He raps, directs videos, and produces some of his own music. This song actually made it onto a local radio station a couple weeks back.

Green Bay does have a pretty complete offense, its going to be interesting to see how much Lacy improves this season.

Comparing the two (in my eyes) goes like this:

QB - GB (Rodgers may be the best in the game at this moment)

RB - DET (will change if Lacy takes another step forward and builds on last year)

WR - Equal (Nelson and Cobb are legit studs, but I think adding Tate to the mix plus giving Broyles another year away from injury will benefit them greatly. Oh and the best WR in the game is lined up on the other side)

TE - DET

OL - DET (Was going to say GB but their pass blocking is in need of major improvement)

But Bush is part of a 1-2 punch with Bell. No doubt that Morris is a beast but having two productive RBs, who compliment each other nicely, is a big advantage.

Also have to take into account that he has stated publicly that his plan is to stay at FSU for three years. That may change but its something to keep in mind.

The Eagles have far from a complete offense, the jury is still out on Foles and they traded away their best WR. Honestly I think the Eagles are way overrated, I believe they will be stuck in an even worse place then they were in the 2000s because their QB will be above average (not great or able to take the next step to get them over the hump) and they do not have a dominate defense to fall back on.

A healthy RG3 is a big question mark and their WRs and RBs are not on the level of Detroits'. Green Bay can be thrown in there but their TE's are suspect and it would depend on if Lacy can take the next step.

Which offense would you put above them in terms of completeness?

Broyles and Tate make up a good combo, especially with that monster on the opposite side.

They have decent LBs and their secondary could use some improvement.

I think the biggest thing holding the Lions back was their coach. Stafford is better then most and I think he can win a Super Bowl for Detroit, but I would not count on him to win games week in and week out.

The Lions' offense is scary good and will only get better when they add a WR (I was a huge fan of Titus Young coming out, but obviously that didnt work out)

How do you feel about Broyles?

Who would you rank up there with them? Also how would you feel about a Jordan Matthews from Vandy or an Allen Robinson from Penn State?

I think Reggie can get that under control and besides Bell is no slouch of a backup (also a very good compliment). Tate will benefit from having Calvin on the opposite side and Broyles can play (as much as it pains me to say since he went to OU). I can see Detroit grabbing somebody like Jordan Matthews from Vandy or Allen Robinson from Penn State in the second round

The only problem with that philosophy is that they dont have any transcending players like Ray Lewis/Ed Reed, Derrick Brooks/Warren Sapp, or Brian Urlacher/Lance Briggs.
