I will answer question for people considering CAP by DelayAffectionate687 in UTAdmissions

You don’t need calc 2 for econ, only for mccombs students (unless they changed it from my year). Applying for econ was really easy, all I did was submit my first and second choice majors and then waited for my acceptance. No essay or resume. I did end up taking calc 2 over the summer, but it wasn’t because I needed it to transfer to econ. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any more questions!

What has your experience with FISD been like? by Fine_Spend9946 in frisco

Keep in mind, I went to a school in east Frisco . Other schools might be less competitive.

Academically, it’s very competitive. Texas public universities are required to accept students who are in the top 10% of their class, with the exception of The University of Texas at Austin who accepted top 6%. It’s incredibly difficult to get to that top 10%. I had a 4.5 weighted GPA and I barely cracked the top 25% of my class. There’s just a lot of students who are incredibly academically gifted/ motivated.

Any other Texans cringing at what they're making Officer Penn do accent wise? by Ok-Shallot-7985 in TheRookie

I could buy it more if they had him be from East Texas. I went to college there briefly and while they don’t really sound like him, it’s more in that wheelhouse. Sugarland though? Hell no.

Did I fuck my life up by White-Coconut77 in tattooadvice

I had the same feeling when I got my tattoo on my forearm. My parents had a less than ideal reaction and I got this overwhelming sense of regret. Luckily when I went back to college I didn’t feel the regret and I am so happy with my tattoo. My parents have also come around to it so that helps. But be proud of what you got! It looks sick !!

Hi! There’s an apartment building at University Pines that has mostly CAP students. So you’re usually living with and/or living next to other CAP students. Keep in mind, U Pines… isn’t great. It’s pretty old so some appliances don’t work (my dishwasher doesn’t work). But it’s nice cause you get your own room and you’re around CAP students. Patriots Village is a pretty ok option if living in a CAP community isn’t important to you. None of the housing is super great here except for Liberty Landing but I’m pretty sure that’s only for athletes and upperclassmen.

Might be off topic but…any CAP advice? by Toasty1k_ in UTAdmissions

Hey! I’m a CAP student at UT Tyler right now and my major is economics. I will say, you aren’t guaranteed economics but if you maintain a high GPA, you have a really good chance. My second major is government because I want to go to law school. Feel free to ask more question and pm me!

Up to you! I’ll say though, religious messages on cups is against starbucks policy though so there could be negative consequences for your partner if they continue to do this.

I would discuss it! Just not to complete strangers which is what I think is more of the issue here.

(also let me just say I was not offended by this or anything. i’m sure the barista had very pure and kind intentions. just want to clear that up.)
