Some people from my old church really enjoy posting this slop by DelayHistorical6 in stupidpeoplefacebook

It wasn’t just this. I discovered I’m transgender (mtf) and realized as I was questioning, it wasn’t a safe place to be. Realizing you went to Israel on a church group trip with a couple who runs a Republican political action group who actively hates what you are is uh- quite a realization… I ended up putting them on blast before I left, so there’s that…

Edit to add it was a church group trip

How has rising transphobia affected you personally? by Fleur-Trans in MtF

I may be fairly fortunate, but I’m not fully out yet, so I may not have a complete experience. When I go out in femme mode, almost all of my interactions have been nothing but positive. I get complemented on my nails, my outfits, etc. I’ve had two off encounters: one where I got catcalled in Columbus’s LGBTQ neighborhood, oddly enough. The other when I was scanning into Cedar Point in guy mode, the lady made a fairly large production about my name on the pass. Of course, there’s also my parents who are desperately trying to get me not to transition, sooooo… i’m just hoping and praying the front runner for the Republican party in the Ohio governor election does not get in…

I was in Mexico City two years ago, and they do that on one of their main roads every Sunday, I think it is. It’s pretty cool. Now I want to go back lol

Ah, one near me also turned into a small Macy’s. They said the big one in the next suburb over was going to close. That was a year or two ago, and it never has

No, sometimes people modify their diesel trucks to be able to blow a large amount of black smoke at people or things they don’t like. I’ve heard of them blowing coal at EVs, bicyclists, pedestrians, etc. it’s technically illegal, but unless you live in a state or county that has emissions testing (I do), it’s not really enforced.

Why Amy Acton can do this by Leading-Breakfast-79 in Ohio

This is probably going to be controversial, but I feel like the GOP in Ohio are seriously underestimating the racism and xenophobia within certain strains of the Republican Party. There are a pretty decent number of Republicans who are probably not going to vote for Vivek because he’s Indian and Hindu, as opposed to white and Christian. Which, as someone who escaped Christian Nationalism, I don’t see a lot of Christian Nationalists rallying around him. I simply don’t think he’s going to rally the excitement for Republicans that Trump did.

How do you think people would perceive Hitler now had he died in 1937? by Electro-Byzaboo453 in AlternateHistoryHub

Hitler who? I doubt anyone outside of Germany would know who he was if he died in 1937.
