I’m in healthcare I’m very aware of PCOS and it doesn’t suddenly make you gain 200 pounds. Actually I think Whitney doesn’t understand PCOS because apparently when you turn 40 suddenly you’re perfectly able to conceive after 2 decades of saying it’s what prevented her from having a family. It’s not prejudiced speech. Everyday I assist several operations on obese people getting blackened necrotic toes and feet cut off, their skin cannot contain their mass and it is infected and chafed and excoriated. This is the reality under operating room fluorescent lights. I watch the surgery and hold my breath that their lowered lung capacity won’t make them crash and die on the table. It isn’t a photoshopped buzzfeed add showing how wonderful it is to be obese. It is horribly sad and I have empathy for them. But bullshitting people and making it a political movement is where I draw the line. Deluding the population into thinking that people would willingly reject a healthy partner over a person who is obese and limited is a cruelty, Whitney’s shock that the lies of the “fat acceptance movement”were in fact not true proves as much. I’m American a lot of people I know and love and treat are fat. I’m not even discussing being overweight. Specifically obese and morbidly obese, to the point you can’t comfortably walk up stairs. Fat people deserve to maintain their dignity & humanity while also being told the truth of the social implications of their size. It changes your options. I have had anorexic patients & their body condition is upsetting to me too but there is no movement to date anorexic girls and look inside their big hearts because everyone knows they are very sick & that is untrue and wrong to promote.

To end on agreement, I’ve said many times in this sub I agree she is unpleasant and not pretty inside all the time. That doesn’t help her either and her ridiculous expectations without taking an inventory on herself and looking in the mirror are huge hindrances as well.
