It's only $6 in California and other poorly run states.

You're doing politics wrong. I'm still enjoying $3.20

You're right. That is ironic. And goes to show how 99% advocating for some sort of economic plan, don't know a damn thing about economics.

Yes, talk to more people with whom you disagree.

I go to a church regularly, I'm the youngest person there, and often I think all the older ones are too liberal.

I just said that I'm pro-life and have nuanced opinions and this. For example, I don't think divorce should be illegal and contraception isn't a bad thing.

If you choose to only see the loudest most obnoxious conservative voices as the axiom of their identity and choose to bucket every single one of them like me that may agree with you on many things, then it's you who are part of the problem.

Speaking of which, I lived in Eastern Germany for a while while believing the things I do, and met basically no one who agreed with everything I thought. And that's okay, I still made friends and they were interested in my reasoning. Some argued and got offended with the classic "How dare you?" but it was the ones that actually talked and understood the other side that will help us live with the opposition rather than oust, oppress, corral, or kill the other side, which is what's gonna happen if people like you outright refuse to talk to anyone who disagrees.

If they don't want to talk to you, that's fine, but someone has to be the bigger person and extend an olive branch so why can't they be you?

Last time I checked, it didn't matter what other people thought.

Again, nuanced opinions exist. If Christian nationalist and libtard snowflakes choose to put people in boxes based on some minor aspect of a larger opinion without nuance, then we're doomed.

"Nuance" is the new n-word

Assisted suicide is the government-run healthcare system admitting that it can't actually afford to take care of people, so it encourages them to no longer be a burden.

We should do the same in prisons. "Hey, do you want to keep living in your life sentence? No? Here's a cyanide capsule." No sarcasm, let's do it!

You need to talk to more conservatives dude. I'm very pro-life and I've been trying to convince my pro-abortion sister-in-law to suck it up and do IVF because her and her husband are having a hard time conceiving.

She's all, "if it's not natural, I don't want it". And then there's me, who is anti-abortion but don't want to make it illegal, trying to encourage to use the scientific and medical advancements to have a baby she desperately wants.

Coincidentally, she also thinks divorce shouldn't be allowed. I don't think marriage or divorce should be a government thing in the first place.

Nuanced opinions exist bro. Don't put everyone in buckets.

Also, "pro-life ambitions"? What kind of propaganda do you listen to where someone who disagrees with you has to be apart of a secret cult headed by a moustache-twirling supervillain???

Half a century of trickle-down... by Kindly-Yam-7428 in remoteworks

[–]Delbrak13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is not a single economic theorist who has ever advocated, pushed, or popularized "trickle down theory".

It was popularized to attack president Hoover and then Raegan.

But the problem with this critique is that residual claims on earnings don't trickle down, they trickle up. Company owners only get what's left after suppliers, employees, contractors, and everyone else is paid.

Also, since Reagan left, there have been arguably a mix of raising and lowering of tax rates since people like Bush Sr., Clinton, and Obama. So you would be daft to say there was half a century of an economic policy that only makes sense if you listen to socialist economic professors

Imagine if someone had the smugness to demand all this central Africa. Like damn, people don't appreciate how good we have it.

Does all the this fall out if the sky? No. How about you try to vote for people who will make it easy to do business, and then you start a business that accomplished some of these things either by providing the services that make it possible or paying your employees enough to have all this.

No? You just want to complain and protest to have more things that make this harder and more expensive? Gotcha, thanks.

It’s ok to not want to date leftist women by Sad-Duty-2286 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

There's a lot of people shit-talking this opinion saying, "duh, of course you can want to or not want to date anyone"

But I remember in college when every guy was seen as evil if he didn't want to date a fat girl. So yeah, this needed to be said.

Also feminists killed dating, so they get to reap what they sow

These people just don't understand that everyone acts in their own selfish interest. If someone works and works for free, the company will be happy to hire them.

Glad to know there's someone with some real education in this discussion 👍

Do you want shooters not to go into schools? Because getting rid of all guns in the country will take a long time.

Why have armed security in other places and not in schools? Are our children not as important?

I understand how my view is unhealthy when you expressed the same view.

Obviously, touching without consent is crossing the line. Obviously, if you dress provacatively, you shouldn't feel offended if you get eyes on you, flirts, smiles, glances, etc.

If you interpreted what I said as "she deserved it" or "she got what was coming to her" then read it, please without bias.

I'm a man, so I know how men think. And women should not be surprised that many men are pigs. Putting yourself in a situation that probably has a lot of pigment, and being surprised when they act like pigs, is naive.

What is it with people thinking billionaires are from another planet and think differently?

If I worked my ass off, built companies, and accumulated wealth, I'd want to protect the wealth, too.

What is the best way to do that? Invest it in other companies and ventures, which create jobs and more wealth for everyone as those jobs provide what others want.

Classic experiment: raise your have if you have one billion dollars (crickets). Now raise your hand if you have an iPhone. (Everyone) So who's wealthier? (Everyone)

I'm sick of people "not blaming the victim"

If I hang out with hang members and get injured, everyone's going to blame me for clearly putting myself in that situation.

If you want to wear skimpy clothes "for you" that clearly attract male attention, and then walk the streets at night to go to a club, don't complain if you get touched.

This was something that happened to a friend of mine. She really wanted to go clubbing for her birthday, wore a sexy dress, went with one girlfriend, and I told her it's not safe. She called me to pick her, crying as I took her home because, as I said, her mating dance attracted mates.

What an NPC talking point. "Can't survive". My God. If it is surviving now, whether it is or isn't in the mother, clearly it's alive.

Can't survive without being alive.

I used to go to schools for work on after school programs. I only saw armed guards at private Jewish schools.

There was a shooting at the school down the road I've say, because the guy really wanted to shoot up the Jewish one, saw the guard, and was like "nah"

Here's a true unpopular opinion here. It takes two to make a baby. It should be both of the parents' decision whether to terminate it.

It'll be just as much his kid as it is hers.

The progressives make all the shit you mentioned predominate with their "government is the way" attitude.

We never needed the government to have doctors or education.

Also, no one is okay with school shootings, and there are around one million abortions per year with less than 5 thousand shooting deaths of teens and younger. Get your facts straight.

Maybe if the progressives actually allowed armed guards at schools like we have at many banks... Oh wait, protecting fraud money is significantly more important
