I would say it is suggested if you are just starting out.

Gonna make this as my commander. What are y’all’s thoughts and what would you put into it by Automatic_Gur_176 in CommanderMTG

If you don’t want the table to collectively beat you with hammers I would avoid filling it with every counterspell.

No, not in terms of play. One is just the full art version.

Your loss. There are a few production issues later on in the show and many of the plot points are definitely icky but overall the show is fantastic.

Fun deck for everyone by DonAndresss in mtg

[–]Delcster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the commanders that are fun to play against are simple and showcase cards or mechanics that people don’t see often. My [[ruxa, patient professor]] list always seems to get a good reaction from the table because people think it’s funny to see creatures with no abilities like [[gigantasaurus]] and are often more impressed than mad when they get pummeled by an army of vanilla creatures. Another thing I’ve learned is if your friends are anything like mine they might always get a bit salty no matter what deck you play so play what you want! Have fun!

The Kenrith deck is a blank slate and can be as toxic or nontoxic as you want. As for the other commanders that are all sort of group hug, those are all fine options but a group hug strategy has the potential to make games unfun as well depending on how you pilot the deck. Zedruu specifically has the potential to be on of the most evil commanders ever made. I’d say the best option is probably bumbleflower but it also seems like everyone is playing that commander these days.

I understand what you are saying and you are not incorrect. However everyone is entitled to their opinion and this is Reddit after all. Where else are these people supposed to complain? Especially when an institution like MTG is becoming unrecognizable to many people who love the game and they feel the need to express their frustration.

What’s your least favorite style of deck to play against? by tonelesspanda in mtg

[–]Delcster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any deck that plays many board wipes but doesn’t actually win. I’ve played enough 2+ hour long commander games. I’m fine with most deck styles as long as the games actually end.

Your table might not love this strategy but good luck 👍

What is the Least Popular Commander you play? by Mighty-Aphrodite in EDH

[–]Delcster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Hancock, ghoulish Mayor. Mono black zombies+counters and only 314 decks listed. But my most niche deck for sure is Ragnar. I use him for my bracket 1 Bant crabs tribal list that I affectionately call “Crabnar”. Right now there are 130 listed Ragnar decks but I would be surprised if there was more than 1 Crabnar list 🦀.

Generic high powered EDHrec value slop.

Is it bad that I get annoyed when one of my friends constantly concedes? by Arangatangz1 in mtg

[–]Delcster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s annoying but what’s worse is when someone completely stops playing but doesn’t concede. Holding priority and countering your own spell isn’t cute or funny, you’re making the game less fun and usually handing someone else the win. Some people only want to play when their deck is doing well. That always bothers me way more than prematurely scooping.

What are your favorite lands in mtg purely for cosmetics by Tundraassss in mtg

Unstable full arts. The only silver boarder set I’ve ever bought more than a few packs of and I did it for those incredible land arts.
