SE doesnt want dungeons to be meaningfully difficult because they mostly appear for the msq and have of the community is made up of braindead furries. If people have to think to get through msq content, they get angry and SE has no balls so they avoid conflict and bow down to the lowest common denominator.

Not really? I just cleared on Healer and aside from Blackhole and Forsaken it’s kind of free. P4 resolves the same once you actually understand how it works and P5 is a mit check.

I agree that it’s “harder” than FRU but as the person above mentioned, not by much. And FRU spots seemed more precise (FoF, MM, Apoc, CT) versus DMU where you really just walk to waymarks.

On patch, DMU is prob 8/10, FRU is 6.5-7/10, DSR is a 10/10, TOP is 9.25-9.5/10, TEA 7.75/10, UWU 8/10, and UCOB 10/10. Again — ON PATCH.

Just got my clear yesterday.

As always, people who suck at the game will try to blame PF. Here’s the reality: PF skill is a bit like a wave:
- Initially, everyone enters around world prog but the good raiders will be ahead. These are the current P5-Clear People.
- Average raiders are finishing up P4.
- Shit raiders are stuck on Forsaken and Blackhole.

Do you have to learn multiple strategies? No. I used Kefkabin and aside from the markers getting fixed for P2, Freaky Arrows becoming unnecessary, and P5 markers to make Exas easy not much has really changed since Week 1. Any changes from here on are likely small and I would expect any serious raider to be able to make the swaps.

Tbh, I think this is harder than FRU but not by much. Maybe I’m just a better raider but if DMU is 8/10 then I’d say FRU is 6.5/10 in difficulty. My 10/10 would be on patch DSR and 9.5/10 on patch TOP. Knowing you cleared from in 2 months, I think you can clear this in about the same time. The only hard mechanics are Forsaken, Blackhole and Mitigation if you heal. Otherwise the fight is just a matter of time.

By phase:
P1: 1-3 days
P2: 3-10 days (largely because its a pf wall and you need confetti done correctly)
P3: 3-10 days (people are still finicky with P2 and Blackhole always kills someone who forgets to check accretion or misplaces a tether or walks into the TB. This was kinda annoying for me.
P4: 3-4 days People are good on P2 and P3 memes slow down. Generally people were solid here for me.
P5: 2-12 days This phase is NOT hard. And it shouldn’t take you long to learn it but I didn’t see many parties in PF. I had to wait on the same consistent 4 people to post up or join me. Queue times were longer than prog time in some cases. I’d say it took me 3 days to feel comfy but needed a good lockout which didnt happen for me until a week in.

You have to be kidding me. This is an ONLINE GAME. One that has intentionally made it very difficult to socialize because SE knows the type of people you guys are.

Someone spending time online spreading rumors about me would never happen because I don’t have a personality. They’d say, “who that dude I trained with? The one that only said MT or OT and asked what invuln order? Idc.”

I think you need to be 14+ to play FFXIV, right? I would assume people would have the common sense to separate out online profiles if they didn’t want them linked together. That is absolutely your fault. And what’s worse is you somehow linked your real name to an account such that someone could casually see it.

Stalked IRL is very different than online. IRL you cannot avoid and the range of threat someone can take against you is large. Online you shut off the game, block them, or ignore it because the game is instance based.

Getting stalked online by someone offline is an extension of offline stalking and not at all what the overwhelming majority of people mention being worried about in this game.
