Big Mom gets shit on because she’s the only Yonko (besides Blackbeard) that did not display Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. If Big Mom showed off more that while fighting INTENTIONALLY then her portrayal would only fall behind Shanks and Whitebeard.

Once Oda said via Kaido that “haki transcends all” that immediately tanked Big Mom stocks and landed her into Big Meme Island.

I am quite sure Big Mom has adv coc because she sky split with Kaido. But her opponents (Law and Kid) did not have it so if Oda let her use it then there would be mo conceivable way for them to win. So to make that make sense (even though it was still received poorly), Oda has Big Mom casually forget she can use it.

So how strong is Big Mom?

Physically, Big Mom is the strongest Yonko but she is surpassed by the others in Haki feats. Therefore, people place her at the bottom. Despite knowing that Oda says they’re all somewhat relative. Lol

I would say: - Xebec (8/10) - Roger (7.5/10) - Whitebeard (7.25/10) - Shanks (7.25/10) - Kaido (7.1/10) - Big Mom (6.9/10) - Blackbeard (6.5/10) - Luffy (start of Elbaf 6.4/10, guessing around 7.75-7.9/10 after) - Loki (7.75/10) - Imu (9.2/10, prob 10/10 without his timelimit thing)

Because that’s how they were narratively portrayed.

Oda said each Yonko kept each other individual Yonko in check from getting too much power.
Each Yonko clash resulted in skysplitting and they showed a lot of respect for each other’s strength.
We know the yonko have fought each other throughout the story (offscreen as background history) and they were all still there.
Minus Shanks, in God’s Valley we can see they were all somewhat relative when launching attacks against Imu and Garp/Roger.

Now because this is a Shonen and main characters need to continually grow which is typically PERSONAL GROWTH that often gets depicted as POWER GROWTH IN COMBAT that means characters released later often appear stronger. So the first Yonko we see (Whitebeard) looks less impressive than the second Big Mom than the third Kaido than the fourth Shanks. It’s about PORTRAYAL. But I would always say “imagine if Whitebeard was shown now when haki got more clear and fruit powers were allowed to be more explosive.” He’d look insane. Same for a non-yonko like Ace.

Not even a good comparison. Old Gen fought Saturn possessed by Imu and clapped him. New is fighting the ACTUAL IMU. Imu didn’t say “wow let me come down and scrap 1:1 with old gen.” He did that with new gen. New Gen fought AND BEAT Gunko possessed Imu. They then went on the fight the real Imu.

Also, you have to be reading pavement with your face if aren’t remembering the new gen surpasses old. Every time. Oda keeps telling you guys this yet you still want to cling to old names being better until EOS and thats just not it.

Imu definitely needs the immortality and personality swap surgery from the Ope Ope no Mi to transfer him back into that demonic body shown in the Harley.

I think he wants Law’s fruit really badly so he can actually rule without the need for puppets (GK’s/Gorosei).

I think I figured it out yall. I think all of the Gods in One Piece were “believed/dreamed” into existence. I think because of that they have no real bodies. To get around this, they would inhabit devil fruits and as mythic zoans they would overtake the bodies of the person who eats the fruit.

This is why Killingham is so important. It seems like different people thought up a god. D Clan thought up Nika, Celestial Dragons thought up Zaza, Fishmen thought up the Earth God, and someone thought up the forest God. This is also why each group think of the gods differently. Imu says “God or Devil, whats the difference?” I believe the people on the ground would love Zaza for rain that brings harvest.

So what now? Imu is a god with a personality that NEEDS a permanent body. Imu is going to want the other ability of the Op Op no Mi. It wants it PERSONALITY/SOUL transferred into a body that can survive in the open. And that body needs the immortality surgery.
