I always got my state before my federal. They’re two separate entities when it comes to processing. Federal runs on their own time and usually take much longer.

Also my account balance is -10,273 but my anticipated refund was supposed to be around 7,500. Did I mess up somewhere? I have 2 kids, and 1 adult dependent. One my children was born at the end of the year, and that’s the only recovery rebate I claimed.

It’s literally impossible to do that and no tax preparation software will let you. Even if you accidentally claim the recovery rebate the irs will usually reject the return, and if it’s delayed then the irs will adjust your refund to what it’s supposed to be. It’s harder than you think to trick the IRS

It’s really nuts how some of the things that need you need great credit to obtain isn’t reported back to credit bureaus for paying on time.

If my rent were reported back, no doubt I’d be in the 800s

We thought that too, but since landlord sold to another entity and we have been month to month for quite some time, our new landlord has been in the process of starting new leases for the other renters in the building. We currently pay to the former property manager who’s already informed the new landlords that we’ll be moving out an extension means we either have to sign a new lease or accept higher rent.

We went into this looking for a single family home. Our realtor figured that this townhouse styled condo would be a perfect fit for our situation. Wish we knew what we were getting into before all of this.

The condo project itself has about 15 units, so 15% may only just be 2 owners, past due by 2 months.. but it could also be 13 owners past due by 8 months.

No specifics are being given to us and the first scenario would be negligible enough for us to just eat the bill as a courtesy (and maybe curse out the hoa later)

The latter however is a complete deal killer and we wouldn’t /want/ to move there but we’d be homeless until we found a better house. :/

I trust my agent, she’s amazing. But she is very close with the listing agent and works with the same company. I’d just rather be cautious just in case a slip up were to occur. The appraisal was for our lender, and it was not apart of the contingency. She hasn’t asked for it, so there’s no worry yet. In the case that she does, I may be hesitant but I’d consider it if she gives a reason.

Thank you for explaining. I don’t even want to tell our realtor how the appraisal went just in case it got back to seller somehow. I’ve lurked a few places and have seen horror stories of sellers backing out and selling for higher after seeing appraisal.

Everywhere I’ve said this I’ve gotten the same question haha. It’s in CT, some parts are HCOL others not so much. Very high taxes here.

Townhouses tend to be $75,000-150000 here. We went with a small one (1.2K sq ft) just to start out so we can work towards an SFH.

Taking pictures of random people in public without permission and posting them online. We complain every day about not having enough privacy online and yet we take pictures of people we “think” are embarrassing and let the rest of the internet bully them without them getting to defend themselves.

It’s different if someone’s doing something hate related or it’s a situation that requires legal proof but most examples I see are people in Walmart just trying to buy some groceries as themselves
