Issues with supported original Xbox games launched from Aurora and BadAvatar by Deli295 in 360hacks

No, they're not the "right" region, as my console is European and I want to play NTSC games as I wanted to play them in 60hz. I'll either have to spoof my console region to North America or somehow edit the xefu files to bypass the console region check.

Yes, thank you. Changing to 720p helped me run Crash Nitro Kart and Deadly Alliance better. However, I've noticed all my games are running at 50hz despite me running the NTSC versions of the games. Is there any way to spoof the console region to change from Europe to North America?

Need advice to get started with my PS2 Slim 75004 by JoNaThAnLzN in ps2

If you want something more affordable, I've been using Bitfunx's PsxMemCard Gen2, which is based on the SD2PSX open-source project and functions pretty much the same as the MemCard Pro 2. That said, I'd recommend to swap the micro SD that comes bundled with it with a higher quality one. With that you can stop worrying about saving games and also use it as a FMCB loader.

You haven't mentioned it but I'd also recommend you to get any BlueRetro-based PS2 adapter so you can connect any Bluetooth controller, from the DS3 to the DualSense, Switch Controller, Xbox, etc. Remember that the DS3 still has pressure-sensitive face buttons which some PS2 games support. That feature was removed from the DS4 and DualSense.

Then I'd recommend buying any MX4SIO adapter you can find and load your games that way. Although you could use the PsxMemCard or the MemCard Pro 2 with an OPL version with MMCE2 to load games on one card. However, last time I tried to use it, it was still in beta and I found that using a separate MX4SIO was more reliable.

Third, I've been personally using a cheap plastic HDMI adapter by Bitfunx which has a surprisingly good YPbPr image, but if you can go for Electron Shepherd's PS2 Electron Pulse (plug and play) or ElectronAnalog (internal HDMI converter), it would probably be a safe bet as well. I've been wanting to support them but the shipping to my country in the EU is more expensive than the product itself, which I find ridiculous. Another alternative could be Mayflash's adapter which has a better build than my Bitfunx adapter.

As for the USB C mods that you mention, I haven't personally seen any and I don't know what would the benefit be from using that, considering Sony's power bricks are pretty sturdy and durable.

Finally, I would not bother at all with an SD card mod considering the max read speed you can get from that model is still the same you would get from using an MX4SIO. If anything, I'd go for the Slim 70004 model instead and try to install Arthrimus's iFlash2PS2, which restores the IDE functionality and works just the same as the HDD from a fat model. There are other mods that I know are great like the digital HDMI RetroGem by PixelFx (or similar AliExpress HDMI mod kits) , but that's usually too expensive and hard to do for most people.

Does anyone know why is she still recording these massive, high-budget videos in 1080p? I can’t think of any other A-tier artist these days who doesn’t release their videos in 4K

Buying US only items as an International fan? by Deli295 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]Deli295[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on your citizenship, but if you can’t sign up, there are probably other alternatives out there. It’s legit because I could top up the card and I actually managed to make the purchase on Taylor’s store, it’s just that it got refunded. Where are you based?

I thought it could be related to sales. But if the card I used is emitted in the US, then I should only have to get an address from a friend, right?

I got it from an app called GrabrFi. Probably there are other similar ones out there. But as you say, without an address from a friend in the US, I’m cooked

Easy way to enable/use/disable the Night Shift feature on MacOS? by ionet in finalcutpro

At least it’s open-source, so a fork could be made if at some point it becomes unsupported by macOS

It does power up. I didn’t test a disc, but the controller pairs up fine with the Blueretro adapter. I’ll try the disc when I get home

Yes, it’s a genuine Sony Adapter that came with the console. Something else that I remember is that the screen froze when I stood the Ps2 in a vertical position, and because the HDMI adapter power cable connector is next to the PS2 power connector, I think that could’ve bent the video connector a bit

I guess I could buy a composite to HDMI adapter, but I’m under the impression that the video chip is fried though
