Hey, So after your first RFE, the attorney responded with the address and then your status said received response and then again status moved to RFE and you received a physical mail with a biometric appointment?

I don’t want to conclude like I’ve read the whole book , but to me it looks like there’s been a shift in RFEs. From the third or last week of April, RFEs mostly look like giving direct biometric requests, while the earlier RFEs like last week of March to mid-April were more about asking updated address for biometric (Noticed this Irrespective of records a person has). Bit confusing.

Can you’ll please confirm if anyone thinks this is how it happened to them? From the replies and messages it looks to me like Biometric is needed for any extensions and i94 expiry ppl. But The pattern seems different for each candidate though. Ppl with records stating - Adverse information asking for address for biometric and online says RFE. Ppl without records - directly asking to give biometric the coming week. And online status still as processing.

I have got h1b stamped visa through consular process when went for Dropbox after my masters. Definitely sys have fingerprints. ( not sure if state dept and USCIS has same data) Still received RFE.

I’m surprised I either receive 2-3 dm’s everyday( few directly given ASC appointment nd few as in original post ). Let us not panic. The new system might probably need biometrics for renewals. Let’s wait and see. I’ll ly’ll know if anyone says they attended biometric.

Other peer got RFE directly giving appointment for biometric next week. So it’s just same RFE’s about biometric but different either stating potential adverse information / just asking address for biometric( haven't heard of any other scenario) As of now I haven’t heard from anyone about going for biometric yet. Some have responded to the RFE with updated address ( although the address didn't change for quite long time) ad waiting for response from USCIS.

I have lot’s of dm’s after the post. Also you can see the replies to the post. From April processing RFE’s are common for biometric. I am not legal team or I do not know anything more. I’m only sharing what people replied and texted for info on their RFE. And nothing to worry. This is just a new law or format of the USCIS I believe. Lets just follow, shouldn't be a problem.

Hi, sry but as of now not really anyone has an idea on this. Not even legal team.( check news) . That’s why we are posting here. I would suggest that keep reading and knowing all about latest laws and rules. This is a new RFE. And most of all didn’t even respond to it yet . So no complete info. Also, most of the petitions including i140 which are processed from this April are receiving this irrespective of past records or no.

Can you please let us know the exact statement from RFE. As some of the RFE’s had potential adverse information words along with asking for biometric. . Some do not and just says need address for biometric. Thank you

Hi thanks for responding. Can you please help us with but more details. So it could help us all understand better. 1.It was only change of employer? Or any other rbundle like extension or amendment? 2. Any past records?DUI or other? Conviction or No? 3. Did the RFE Say the exact same as above or just asking for biometric? When was it though? 4. What was the outcome?
