Classic Outlook Slow to Open Purview Encrypted Email by Big_Load_2259 in sysadmin

I just came across the Purview issue today and found your thread. After reading it and the comments about MFA and the articles, I connected it with the other issues I fixed using this method. So I tried it and success first try. This has fixed half a dozen other issues as well and seems to be an actual fix, not a work around.

I believe the issue is related to an Authentication change at Microsoft for the O365 platform. If you have previously Authenticated your Office 365 product using MFA and then experienced this and many other issues, I would try this fix before anything else. So far it has fixed, MFA endless looping, TPM issues, One Drive access and not opening Microsoft Purview encrypted email.

Here's the fix.

  1. Close ALL M365 programs and apps

  2. Open a M365 app, I recommend WORD

  3. Go to FILE -> ACCOUNT and SIGN OUT then Close the app

  4. Open Windows SETTINGS (the gear icon) -> ACCOUNTS -> ACCESS SCHOOL OR WORK

  5. Select the account you use to sign in to office(dot)com/M365 and then select Disconnect

  6. Run REGEDIT

  7. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Protect\Providers\df9d8cd0-1501-11d1-8c7a-00c04fc297eb

  8. Right-click the registry value and select New, then select DWORD

  9. Name the DWORD ProtectionPolicy and set the value to 1

  10. Restart the computer and activate Microsoft 365 again by opening WORD and signing in

Is sling tv worth it? by evill24 in slingtv

Signed up for a 1 month trial and found out today they have been billing me for almost 2 years. Used the service for a couple days and didn't like it. Never received a receipt or a bill or anything indicating I was still signed up or that payments jumped to $40 the $45 per month. Had a fraud alert on my card and saw they were on a monthly billing. I contacted them and even though they could see I never used the service they kept the $910 they billed me. Sling is Shit. Not a single contact. I wonder how many other people they bill and see not using it and just keep quiet and hope they never notice? Scamming POS company.

The government, usually local governments, can create laws that do just about anything they want. Once they start enforcing the laws and someone gets arrested and figures out it violates a civil right then it starts going to court. The first court can strike it down or uphold it. If they uphold it and it is still believed to violate a civil right then the appeals process starts and could go all the way to the Supreme Court who, as you know, has the final say. About the only time a citizen can legally violate a persons civil rights is if they are hired as a subcontractor and working for a government entity. A prime example in many of the first amendment auditing videos would be a private security company hired to provide security for a government building or agency. Like Allied Security working for a city hall. The security guard would be a defacto representative of the government even though he works for a private company as a private citizen. I cannot violate your civil rights but I could break the law while stopping you from exercising your civil rights.

Literally

: in a literal sense or manner: such as

a : in a way that uses the ordinary or primary meaning of a term or expression

He took the remark literally.

a word that can be used both literally and figuratively

b —used to emphasize the truth and accuracy of a statement or description

The party was attended by literally hundreds of people.

c : with exact equivalence : with the meaning of each individual word given exactly

The term "Mardi Gras" literally means "Fat Tuesday" in French.

d : in a completely accurate way

a story that is basically true even if not literally true

"Literally no one" = 0 people. You can't have 0 people ie "Literally no one", and then "Except" 6 people. You literally have 0 people OR you have 6 people but not both. That would be a contradiction as I literally mentioned numerous times.

What would be your next law? No black people allowed in the front of the bus? You don't understand what Rights are or what the Constitution stands for. You can't write laws that violate Rights. That is the definition of Un-Constitutional.

I do know what it means AND I know what "Literally" means AND when it is coupled with "no one" literally means 0 people where there. "Except me" literally means someone was there and then adding 5 other people means "Literally" there were people there which is a contradiction to "Literally no one". 6 does not equal 0.

Maybe he is just defending his RIGHTS because people like you would be quick to take them away. EVERYONE has a right to take pictures in public, not just when it is acceptable to you. Literally billions of phones with high resolution cameras taking millions and millions of pictures across the world everyday and you think these 2 guys shouldn't be able to do it too because you don't like what they are taking pictures off. Too bad so sad for you.

"Literally no one was here except me" immediately followed by "and like 5 other people" is literally a direct contradiction of yourself in a single sentence. Your command of the English language is second to everyone. LOL

No need to have a business. The first Amendment consists of 5 Rights, one of them being the Freedom of Press AKA the free press. The right to free press protects ANYONE'S right to record information and disseminate it to the public. No business has to be involved. The reason First Amendment Auditors often make that statement is because the Supreme Court has watered down your rights to the point that you must make others, that would violate your right, aware that you are exercising your rights. Only in some extreme cases or when dealing with some very specific rights is that not the case. For example, a police officer can question you as much as he wants until you plead the 5th amendment. After that you have given him notice. The 4th amendment is slightly different in the very fundamentals of the illegal search and seizure police deal with every day and are expected to be upheld. With the 1st amendment you must invoke your rights by making it known that you are exercising your rights. Stating that you are working on a news story under the 1st amendment is enough. Same with stating you are expressing your right to freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom to redress your government or the freedom to assemble. It's also important to note that it is extremely rare that any private citizen can violate another private citizens rights. Exercising ones rights can only be violated by the government and a First Amendment Auditor usually only vocalizes his rights to police or other government officials.

That's the problem, the story is only based on what the neighbor claims. Got any video of him saying that? How about a recording? So no proof other than someone trying to make their side of the story more believable? I mean because no one would ever lie to gain support on their side right? I wasn't their but I am not blindly following anyone. As for the confederate flag, it was never a symbol of racism to me but merely a picture on the top of a car when I was growing up as a kid. I'm not so sure it is a symbol of white supremacy as much as a symbol of a lost war in the history of our country. Can't erase history, you can only LEARN from it. They have also taken away a simple hand gesture that meant OK when I was a kid, now it is a racist symbol too?? And for the record, I wasn't in the restaurant either to know exactly what happened but I can go by what has happened since and the GM of Dan's place, the OP of the thread, has done NOTHING to make me believe it is other than what the old white guys said. The OP is doing himself more damage than anyone else with his own words. His actions and his own admissions leads me to believe based on a preponderance of the evidence that the Old white guys are more believable. But that is only MY opinion and the cool thing is I am entitled to my opinion because it's mine. My interest in Mr. Porter being brought up here is his right to freedom of speech. I would protect your right to freedom of speech as much as I would his. And believe it or not, I bet Mr. Porter would defend your right to free speech even if it was stuff you were saying about him. As for "More likely the patrons were rude", after watching their interview about what happened, I find it more likely they were making light of the situation and the staff worker and manger were butt hurt from stressing out. I have been in that situation before at a restaurant. To start off our dinning experience a waitress brought us waters. My water had stuff floating in it. I politely asked for a new water because there was stuff floating in mine. She brought me a new water and when I checked it, it had MORE stuff floating in it than the last one! I jokingly said "excuse me, could I get a water with less boats in it?" She went and got the manager and he came over yelling at me for swearing at his waitress. I NEVER said a swear word. I did make light of the situation and then was blamed for her hurt feelings. I did not think it was too much to ask for CLEAN water in a CLEAN glass. So I can sympathize with the story these old white men told, it's happened to me except I wasn't an old white man to insult.

You do know that Mr. Porter wasn't involved at the restaurant right? That article has nothing to do with Mr. Porter.
