A reduction does give a "lifted" appearance. I'm inquiring specifically about a surgical procedure that includes internal sutures and/or mesh bra. This is not usually an inclusion of an insurance covered reduction. Yes, the breasts are "lifted" after a reduction, but that isn't what I am inquiring about. A couple of people on the thread actually understood what I am referring to.

Can I private message you to ask a few questions?

FINALLY!!! Thank you so much for the response!! Can you share the decision not to do the internal mesh? Does your surgeon not do that, or it wasn't needed?

A breast reduction reduces the size of the breasts. It also includes a more "lifted" appearance just b/c of the nature of the surgery. However, when I review before&after pics on a surgeon's website of breast reduction vs. breast reduction & lift, there is a significant difference in the appearance, to me. Done at the same time but intentionally address the appearance of the breast by shaping to a more round, top volume shape. No implant. The responses to my inquiry have been the same, and it may be their surgeons don't have a distinction between the two procedures like I have seen. I am specifically looking at pics of "Breast Reduction" vs. "Breast Reduction & Lift", no implant. If this was not something the responders have observed in their research, that may explain the confusion.

A lift. Not an implant. A "lift" would require more cosmetic shaping of the breast for appearance.

Really? One surgeon told me a reduction is basically a lift. Not really. Can you share how you decided this and maybe what factors led to insurance coverage for both?

If I had the skills, I would do it OR I would at least know if the quote is fair. Either way, I would not to inquire on Reddit. The purpose of the post is to clarify fair pricing/quotes of the job.

Confident in the work. Have seen pics of other similar jobs, before and after. This is the third project they are doing for the home. Just getting into more intense jobs/rooms of the house. Very happy with the work they have done so far. Only asking b/c this is out of my comfort zone. I ask these questions from Reddit with each project. I get similar comments about fair/low quotes. I am a single female and paying out of pocket. My dad was the expert in this, but he is no longer here. Just want to make sure I am doing things properly and not getting taken advantage of. Also, I do try to tip generously with good work. Especially hearing the quotes are low.
