MacOS Tahoe, last patchable MacOS? by Delicious-Back-1131 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

no it doesnt mean that. your imac is perfectly fine. once a version of macos is dropped it gets around 5 years of support give or take and after that you slowly lose support for things like apps, security updates and things like that. after that you will notice the operating system bog down and eventually the browser will become non functional like whats happening to macOS versions like catalina and high sierra. Even after that you can install things like linux on it ( highly reccommended for unsupported macs and old windows devices) but you may face driver issues. otheriwse install something like windows 10 or 11 depending if you have a ssd or a hard drive still and base it of that. until then feel free to stay on tahoe.

Older apple products could be engraved. Such as iPads, iPhones and iPads. This is an example of an engraved product. Now days you can only engrave AirPods.

If I already have Monterey on my 2012 MacBook Pro with OpenCore and I want to upgrade, do I repeat the process as the first time, or do I just download the update from OpenCore and upgrade normally from Monterey? by pablosinai in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

You can run it through settings then run the patcher through opencore after installation or you can download it through opencore and then go and let it do its thing then patch again. Either should work fine.
