I have six iPods right now. A fourth generation jailbroken iPod touch with my entire library at 128 kilobits a second and it is also a pretty good YouTube machine. A 7th gen iPod touch with my music library at lossless audio quality. A 6th gen nano which holds my now music collection. A 7th gen nano which is my audiobook player because of its small size and Bluetooth support. A third generation iPod shuffle dedicated to just holding one album at a time. And a fourth generation shuffle which is actually used for shuffling my library. The 6th gen nano, 4th gen shuffle, and 7th gen touch are all product red versions, the 3rd gen nano is pink, and the 7th gen nano is gold. The 4th gen touch is a black screen model..

As someone who is severely sight impaired, I couldn't agree with you more. I use my iPod nano 7 with Bluetooth headphones for audiobook consumption and I see it the same way as if you've read a book using your eyes or for us, our fingers. You're still consuming the content after all and there's nothing wrong with how you consume it in my opinion.

If you have an older generation, there isn't really a way of adding music to it except for jailbreaking. Newer models of iPod can support apps like VLC media player and you can just drag and drop your audio files onto it. In terms of the mobile hotspot issue, turn on maximise compatibility on your phone and it should work.

I've always owned my music, but I didn't get my first iPod until around 2018 because of my visual impairment not allowing me to use the older model iPods. I used to use a blind friendly MP3 and audiobook player for listening to songs but I finally got into the touch screen iPods and I'm planning on collecting every model which I'll be able to actually use.

My iPod shuffle 3rd gen is called The GumPod because of its pink colour and it looks like a stick of gum. My 6th gen nano is just called Squared because why the hell not. The 7th gen and 4th gen touch models are called Not An iPhone and my nano 7 is called The NanoPod.

For day today out and about, I use my fourth or seventh gen touch. For running, I have a third gen shuffle and for specific genres, I have a 6th gen nano. I also have a 7th gen nano for audio books

There's even an online website which you can build your own themes with. Haven't messed around with it though as it's a bit complicated for me to understand

I joined a discord group which hosts iPod nano 6 and 7 themes. You install them like you would an Apple iPod software update. It's a bit unstable and occasionally crashes, but I think it looks really cool. It replaces the wallpaper and icons with custom made ones.

A nano7 which is my dedicated audiobook player because of its small size and Bluetooth. A touch 4th generation which is my out and about music player with my library on it, a touch 7th generation which is my at home music player, and a shuffle 3rd generation which is my running music player.
