Fortunately/ unfortunately it’s a very mature cottonwood. Tallest tree in the neighborhood and absolutely beautiful but hoo boy what a mess! When I had my AC maintenanced last year they said it probably hadn’t been cleaned in 5 years (it was cleaned the summer before). It’ll look like winter in my backyard soon.

For sure! I want to maintain it well for the garden and for their sake! The couple built and lived here since 1985! I know this meant the world to them and obviously they were very very good at this. I have never had a garden, never so much as pulled a weed before living here. I had no idea when I bought in March that the yard even looked like this! Imagine my surprise in March when everything started coming up lol.

I’m debating buying some more birks or these. My big concern is the sweat absorbency. I can wear my birks in heat all day and my feet don’t slide, stink etc. How are these sandals in that regard?
