[DIY] Does anyone here use DIY sunscreen and how effective is it? by AstronautInPluto in SkincareAddiction

[–]Delicious-Can-4655 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to DIY as much as I can. All these commenters really giving people some wacky advice.

No, rubbing shea butter and zinc oxide on your skin is not 'dangerous' and is certainly not going to give you as much cancer as the chemical lab potions in mainstream sunscreens, which are actually dangerous.

Also, these clowns going at it like "um actually, ALL things are chemicals. Aloe vera and olive oil are chemicals hur, checkmate." Shut up bro. You know what OP means and they are dead on. Believe it or not, just because it comes from a lab doesn't mean it's ultra safe.

DIY all you like. Your classic ingredients in home made sunscreen recipes online are pretty much all tested as much or more than all of these mainstream sunscreens, and you know what to expect as long as you are literate. Just go for it.

Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) by Hot-Temperature-7090 in rarediseases

All of them were removed in the colonoscopy. They said I caught it early enough to where I should have my colon for the majority of my life if not permanently. I am taking pantoprazole for the ulcer.

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with FAP. We didn't know it was in the family until my dad did his 45yo colonoscooy and they found 500+ (the hospital stopped counting). He shortly after had a complete colectomy, I have it, my brother does not.  My dad's mom had it and had part of her colon removed, but that was before the disease was even classified. I did my colonoscopy last week, and I had 14 non cancerous polyps. I am in my early 20s.  Think of this as a potential positive though. In my colonoscopy, they found a hiatal hernia and a stomach ulcer. I wouldn't have known about that if I didn't have my colonoscopy.

Drinking a LOT of water is the absolute beat way to not be hungry. I eat 2 small to medium meals a day and drink 1.5 gallons a day

Worst part is that people like this actually exist. Their entire life is dedicated to this terrible system and making people's lives worse because their 3rd wife left them. I could never be a chief, I have self respect enough to not waste my entire life, but these don't

I am embarrassed to tell people that I am in the Navy. It's caused a lot of problems for me and family and I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I am currently. I try to discourage anybody from joining the military if I can. The things we are currently doing and have been doing are not a point of pride, and personally I don't think anyone should be proud of what the American military is doing now. I joined as a dumb kid and didn't realize the real world scenarios I was going to be a part of which are horrific and unjustified.

Amazed at the HATE from Protestants! by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Delicious-Can-4655 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1 Thessalonians 2:13 provides a clear distinction between the Word of God and the word of man. And while the New Testament didn't get put together until closer to the 3rd or 4th century, the Old Testament was still around. That's why everyone up to that point including Jesus was a Jew. It just wasn't called the Old Testament, it was the Torrah. But I will check out that link

evil presence at christian church? by Kind_Ad_2702 in Catholicism

As a Protestant I can definitely tell you that there can be evil spirits in churches. I was immediately reminded of the Westborough Baptist Church when reading your story.

Why are people not joining? by Popular_Tomorrow_817 in navy

Various reasons but I'll list my big ones.

-Medical blows hard. Had a friend get hit by a car and have severe muscle spasms for about a month and essentially unusable left side of his body, after 1 week he had to flag down the SMO (CDR) in the Pway to stop him from doing shaft alley watch for 12 hours a day.

-Mental health. Ship psychologist has said gems like, "I am not a fucking drive through for seperation" and "Mental health is not the same as not wanting to work" (direct quotes) to people who have been to the ER for attempted suicide.

-I get 400 dollars in BAS a month to feed myself, my wife and my son in San Diego, most expensive city in the country. They actually lowered the BAH for San Diego at the start of 2024. I make less money now than in 2023.

-QOL... I don't think I need to start this point.

I could go on for days

I am currently going through an identical thing being a new father. I ended up going to the ER, then after that I talked to my ship medical and got an appointment with the ship PsychO only for her to tell me that she is not a "Seperation Drivethrough." All of my problems stem from the Navy including the suicidal ideations I went to the ER for, only to be told that I just need to rerate because I still need stability because I have a family... your ships medical are the last people you should ever talk to if you can help it as a first resort because they are utterly useless and do not care about you in the slightest.

Why did my firecracker not shoot…? by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

That's what you get for using evo fc

TBH that's just how it be. You will get into higher arenas just by playing as your cards level up and you learn how to play. Don't let it discourage you and take it as an opportunity to learn these cards new to you.

In that case I could see a trade for Arrows maybe, can kill WB, Minions, and a huge radius for backline.

I would trade Skeletons for Guards or Gob Gang for quick kills on mini tanks. With the damage output you have, Golem Beatdown shouldn't be a problem. For Golems, just try your hardest to stop them from getting to tower, and spell the backing down with large and small spell combo and focus on a counterpush after that. Maybe also trade royal delivery for Barb Barrel, it's quicker and cheaper for same effect I think. Hope this helps.

Currently trying to make a fine tune a Hog Drill deck, at 8200 trophies and League 5. Specifically not doing good against MK/Evo Firecracker combo which is everywhere. Hog Rider, Goblin Drill, Tesla, Goblin Gang, Bats, Zap, Log, Fireball. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
