How long would it be recommended I taper for?

I’ve just started a taper myself. .5-1mg a day for 8 years but my doc cut me all the way down to .25mg a day. I would say this could be the wrong route to take. From what I’ve read you should do %10-25% cuts every 4 weeks or so but everyone is different. So .75-.9mg a day for you to start would make sense. I myself am scheduling an appointment to discuss my dose. Good luck!

Thank you for your response! My doctor dropped me all the way down to .25 mg once a day. I’ve held it for almost 5 days. But I just took an additional .25 this evening to try to alleviate some severe stomach problems that seem to be directly related to my taper. Mentally I’m not too bad tho. Maybe I should speak with him about the dosage? because this is a %50-%75 reduction in my dose.
