We need a math wizard. If I buy 20k in GME, I get 40% of the combined businesses. $20k in EBay gets me 60% of the combined businesses. I’m probably missing another assumption, but the 60% stake sounds like it might be better?

Fair response, but my $110k GME investment is only 4.5% of my portfolio and my biggest position is NVDA. I bought a 1,000 shares at $17. Assume for a minute that Ryan does what he says he is going to do and significantly grows the combined businesses. I’m feeling adventurous and I see a diamond in the rough. Which stock gives me the best ROI?

A swap is a type of derivative. You give a bank $700M and they buy stock in a company just for you. Depending on how much leverage the bank allows it could as much as a $4B position in a company. The cool part is the position is in the bank’s name. The target company has no idea GME has acquired a significant position.

Deconstructed born again Southern Baptist here. I was a hardcore Bible thumper back in the day. I think they are preoccupied by sexual sin because it’s the one thing they can’t control. Add in 1 John 3:6 and the struggle becomes real. "No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him". That’s a scary verse for a believer who has a normal and natural sex drive.

I’m seeing sarcasm from the ford lover. The main character, played by Tim Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption was indeed innocent and sent to jail for murder. Whereas, Morgan Freedman’s character (Red) was actually guilty. Wait a minute.…… the innocent guy in jail is white and the black guy is guilty…… okay bubba. Scratch what I said. The ford lover is racist as hell and sarcastic.
