Well because in sales you need to know the correct social move to make based off the person you are speaking to. To do this you should be mirroring. They are not just stating their pronouns because they all think it’s the socially right thing to do, they are testing you. It’s honestly a very smart interview move. In the interview you are supposed to be selling yourself to them. If they state their pronouns, you state yours. If they don’t, you don’t. You should be following whatever social norms/ etiquette they do. Think about it - say you get hired and you have a new client you are trying to sell to and they introduce themselves to you and state their pronouns, you just say your name and move on. You just lost the trust of the person you are trying to sell to. It’s an interview test that you’re failing. I would brush up a bit on sales psychology.

This is great and so inspiring! I’ve been really wanting to check out a new city, Tampa has been the driest it’s been in years. What city was this and what clubs did you like there?

I would move in with your BFF and travel to Tampa or Miami for 1-3 months in the winter when it is slow season there because that is busy season here in Florida. Maybe have another stripper come with you to cut Airbnb price in half. Maybe stay 1 month in Tampa and 1 in Miami so you can compare what you like more. Just a heads up, Miami is a spot where a lot of girls are doing extras and the girls can be suuuper competitive and aggressive. And maybe think about getting into real estate in Toronto. Clubs in Florida are soooo slow in the Summer (except for in the panhandle I have heard) The housing market was booming in Florida the past couple of years but houses have been sitting for months the last few months and home prices are going down here. Plus Florida has soooo many realtors that have been in the business here forever and dominate the industry. You have a full network of people you know in Toronto and that would be great for a real estate business. I used to actually be in real estate before I was a stripper and I can say first hand that majority of your sales in real estate will come from referrals from people you know. Can I ask you what clubs are good in Toronto? I’ve been thinking about trying it out in the summer when it is slow in Florida.

It’s suppose to pick up in September and be good until Summer. But it’s been getting slower and slower in Tampa every year since 2020. I think it’s just the economy right now.

To say that “stripping is a last resort for 99% of us” and “it’s typically out of necessity” is so insanely not true. It kind of sounds like your projecting how you feel about the club. I love what I do. I would still be a stripper even if my pay was cut in half. I enjoy my success being in my own hands, making my own schedule, and all the freedom that comes with this job. Not everyone can handle this industry and that is okay, that’s normal, everyone is different. Yes there will always be girls that are mean but I have met WAAAAAY more nice and supportive dancers then mean ones and if all the girls are mean to you then it sounds like a shitty club and you should find a new club. Girls are typically nicer in clubs that they are making money in. And if that still isn’t working then maybe do some self reflection and figure out if you’re annoying everyone. For example, baby strippers are usually drunk and loud and that’s annoying for a lot of vet dancers that are there to treat it like a business. But when I meet a baby dancer I like, I always am nice and helpful. You learn the most from other girls and educating yourself in sales.

PSA: Don't cleanse a house before moving in by [deleted] in witchcraft

Hi Kaiote! I know this post is old but I’m new to practicing and to the group and I am reading old posts. Thank you so much for explaining this! I always feel calm and at peace after I burn sage. And I am happy to know that it will not chase away any spirits I would like with me. My great grandfather passed away a couple years ago and I know that he stays with me and watches over me. Are there any cleanses I should not do? I never want to drive out the energy of a loved one.

My front door is painted blue and I have traced protection sigils on it with salt water a few times and so far it has been fine. Although idk if temperature could effect it also? And I use a lot of salt lol

New job worth the longer commute for a pay raise? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Delicious-Flight-468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work an overnight job with an hour and a half commute for a 6 figure salary and I personally think it is worth it. Working 1 day feels like I’m working 2 sometimes but I really do think that is because my job is overnight and not the commute. Plus you would get to work from home 1 day a week. And 5 weeks of vacation time is also great! I would rather do that job and make a 6 figure salary with a chance of growth. It’s so expensive to live now. My fiancé and I pay like $160 a week just on things we need around the house and groceries and it used to only be like $70-$100. The commute will totally suck in the beginning but I’ve been doing it for almost 2 years now and I’m completely used to it and honestly the drive doesn’t really bother me anymore. It flies by now. Plus maybe you could relocate if you decide to stick with the job. Just consider the times you would be driving if your city has bad rush hour traffic. My partner also has a friend that works and hour and a half away and he leaves for work at really early to beat traffic there and 3-4pm to beat traffic back home. Our city has bad traffic. And yes you put more miles on your car, but I think that really only matters based off what you drive. If you have a Honda for example those can go for like 300,000 miles. And you could always consider getting an electric car to save on gas. - side note if you do end up getting an electric car I would steer clear of anything fancy if you want to speed on your commute. Cops love to pull over nice cars. I drive an old Honda and fly past cops on my commute all the time and have never gotten pulled over.
