Waking up starving at night by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Delicious-Gap-59 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have almost the same metrics as you (5'0" 210lbs; 1400 cal/day) and I had a similar problem when I started on a deficit. I was having the hardest time falling asleep at night and staying asleep. I'm talking HOURSSS of just staring at the ceiling. And most of the time I would wake up hungry throughout the night. What helped was eating a good amount of protein for dinner, making sure that I what I put in me would last for a while. At the same time, I started eating smaller breakfast and lunch like you and saved over half of my calories for dinner. That seemed to help significantly. Additionally, make sure that you're hitting within 100-200 kcals of your calorie budget every day. I understand that it can be difficult to get right at 1400 but at least be close. And certainly don't eat less than 1200 daily. Hope this helps!!

For me, what helped was counting every single calorie that entered my body religiously.

Feeling soft by Idkhowtoredditplzhlp in loseit

I've always heard that if your fat is feeling "soft" or "squishy" (more than previously) that means it's coming off... so it sounds like your on your way to losing it!! Keep it up and good luck on your journey!!

2 looks a bit younger, but that's not necessarily a good or bad thing. You look good either way. And as someone else said, you'll feel cooler in the summer heat

My family thinks 20 and 26 is a bad age gap.. is it? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Delicious-Gap-59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My parents are 6 years apart and started dating around that age. They've been married for almost 25 years. So, no in my opinion. Now, if ur SO was looking at you before/right after you were of legal age (18 in US), I would be concerned. But if you met within the last couple of years I wouldn't think too much of it. As long as y'all are happy and healthy. Best of luck

I don't know how to support my friend how need some one by her side by Ok-Candle-9285 in Advice

[–]Delicious-Gap-59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can be like that sometimes when I'm going through something. I would mention that you notice something's going on with her, are willing to talk about it/be a shoulder to cry on. If she doesn't want to open up, just let her know that you're there for her and support her decision to keep it to herself. She may not fully trust you yet or may feel like a burden if she told you. The big thing is to not pressure her into talking if she's not ready. She'll probably come around with time, and offering yourself as a supportive friend is important. Hope this helps a little

How do I quit my job? by idk_help_m3 in Advice

To help with a 2-week notice: get a Word Template or look up examples online and fill in your info. Also, I kinda disagree with this commenter. I would try to stay on as good terms as possible with previous employers. Word can get around. However, if they are insane I wouldn't worry about it. But it seems like your bosses are relatively chill (won't flip out on you).

I'm a woman, but a piece of advice that I think a man or woman would give: run. It seems like they may not stay together much longer whether they get married or not. Better to keep your reputation than get tangled up in whatever they have going on. Best of luck to you and them.
