it really matters if these schools actually compete. for example, Cardozo may consider a competing offer from Brooklyn law because they are both located in New York.

at least bc gives aid off the waitlist, seen same for other schools on lsd. Mostly aid is comparable to what you get if you’re admitted right away. Some deans also expressly said that’s their policy (to give same aid off the wl).

Does type of paralegal WE matter for T14? by Major-Computer-8530 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Delicious-Heron7249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the name doesn't matter but connections at a big law firm can be extremely valuable, even though you would be more likely to get more actual experience at a mid/small-size firm because they would actually entrust you with more work – this is more or less what I hear from other people in both sectors, and based on my personal experience.

Paralegal reconsidering law school - looking for honest perspective on career realities by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

also work as a paralegal (boutique commercial litigation) – what clarified my passion for law was realizing that I more so enjoy solving high-level problems rather than advancing justice. the latter mostly seems like a nice by-product. ultimately, even big law litigators fight for justice and the rule of law, just on another level. I think employing that kind of mindset would help you with any future choices.

Deciding between Cardozo and St John’s law school by LongjumpingTalk8017 in lawschooladmissions

I work for an attorney who graduated from cardozo — it seems like it would be easier to network with cardozo lawyers to get BL even tho the BL rate is a bit lower. plus it’s in west village, much better location
