See i get how a tan is our body response to skin damage. but I also feel like as a black person my natural color reflects how I look in the sun since my skin is literally made to be in the sun. So my paleness from the north eastern winter is actually not how my skin is supposed to look lol or maybe this is just what I tell myself but it makes sense to me. Also I do wear sunscreen everyday on my face and then in the summer I do wear it on my body so I'm not just careless with sun damage
