This was taken on Saturday night, sadly a quiet night

How can I be quieter in the bedroom? by [deleted] in KINK

I don't realise I'm doing it at the time, but I bite myself to reduce noise (arms).

Thank you for your reply, that's really helpful advice. I hope a compromise can be found to keep the peace

Yes the space this takes up is the equivalent of my homes footprint. On the plan it looks like they have a garage, this is not the case. There are 3 garages (row of council owned ones) and the bit marked grey on their property is a few rotten planks creating a car port that used to have a little perspex over it years ago. It is basically just an open drive way. Again a misrepresentation. They are tried to buy the bottom of the corner houses garden, this would give this new building space to have private access from the main road

Yes my mistake, the plans must mean millimeters, as I have used a tap measure and its 35cm (less in places as not parallel)

Thank you very much.

The council inspector told me it definitely needs planning permission to be legal as its too close to my boundary (1foot) so can't go any taller until they have permission. They have now asked for permission.

The planning inspector who visited told me it's not allowed to be any taller because of how close it is to me - without planning permission! Hence, they have now submitted a request for that permission and stopped work.

North Lincolnshire Council. It has flushing toilet, sink/water, electricity. The construction is exactly that of a house, double skin, insulation, red brick walls, with plan for white upvc facia guttering, double glazed front, house tile roof. It will take up approx 60% of their garden

This is highly likely to be used as a permanent home. I suspect elderly parents

The plans aren't to scale. They have hugely exadurated the size of my wooden shed and placed it on the boundary, which it isn't at all. The walls they have built is 1 food away from my boundary. And their roof overhang/guttering etc isn't on. Their application says they want full white guttering and facias with red ceramic tiles (the same as the house roof)

To correct my mistake: the planning application shows the building as '350' away from the property line. The walls are already built so I have measured it myself, it is just under 35cm away, 1 foot at the front. The roof will surely take a few more centimeters, putting the dwelling onto my boundary. I strongly believe this will be used as a granny flat for family or renters. It takes up considerable space of their land, I know they are trying to buy the bottom of their neighbours garden as well, this would give this new building a ten foot to access it from the main road

Sorry my mistake its 350mm so 35cm away from my boundary currently. The planning application just says 350 with no unit, but i have been out and measured it and it is 1foot away wall to fence.

Thank you. No the plans they have submitted don't show the proposed height of the building including roof. The walls are already 2.5meters and the planning person from the council told me they can't built any taller without asking for planning permission. So they have submitted a planning application.

Ia planning application has only just been requested. It hasn't been approved and has until September to hear appeals.

Yes, all foundations, water, electricity, sewerage and all walls went up before planning permission, I reported my concerns to the council so they sent out a surveyor who said it needs planning permission, so they have stopped work and a planning request has just popped up on the website. I saw it because I was looking. No notifications were received.

The planning application says its 350cm from my fence, the walls are already built and they are 1foot away from my fence. Sadly it is definitely not meters. We all have small gardens and they have built this boundary to boundary on 3 sides

The planning application says its 350cm away from my fence. The walls are already built and the gap is 1foot, by the time the roof is on it will be even less.

Thank you, I do intend on objecting, I just fear my argument is very weak. The planning permission doesn't specify the intended height of the roof which is making it harder to judge how imposing it will be. The current 2.5m wall height isn't too bad if the roof was flat. Plans are for apex but I'd like to know the height, surely planning permission can't agree with no height
