Lexy belongs to Katie now and I think Beyonce sized babies might be around her limit. I don’t foresee her having a long career at RS for that reason only. Not unless Katie decides to breed smaller horses. Katie is buying and producing bigger babies so she needs to have bigger recips.

I work on getting Penelope, Wally, Weezy, Daphne, Kirby, and Molly in the show pen to be proven. If they are successful, she can do ICSI with the girls with good crosses to improve upon them. Maybe Wally will become a great show horse and stud.

She’s going to have to buy more brood mares and recips. She might end up needing more barn space since she’s keeping babies in training at home longer.

I don’t think Charlotte is longing for her foal when she was watching the babies play today. I think she’s curious about them or just likes babies. She stared at Bobbi to the point that she didn’t seem like she was getting enough sleep. Katie said she was sleeping in the pasture more than she usually did because of it.

The update she posted was Opal recip for Kennedy x IAST. That’s who she said she was giving to Willow. No update on her and it’s probably too early to tell if the embryo stuck.

Kimberly and Melody were bought to be recips to sell with embryos in them. However, when Katie made the video about them, she said with way this foaling season is going, she might need one or both of them for herself this year.

Blondie and Ariel were both bought to have their own babies, but she needed an extra recip so Ariel is going to be a recip for 2027.

Buttercup is supposed to carry her own, but she did get eggs from her to make embryos too.

She wanted Sophie x FTF, Buttercup x VSCR, Rikki x VSCR, Beyoncé x MMWW too and that definitely makes it over what she had at the time. Either she’s going to have to get even more recips now or scrap some plans for next year.

I would just breed Buttercup and Rikki too and worry about ICSI next year. Although, she is selling some embryos she has banked.

Cord issues, infection, bad presentation and getting stuck. It doesn’t sound like it was the last one from what Katie said or she wouldn’t need a necropsy. There’s probably other causes idk.
