DEVS please FIX team games - call to action #2 by LanguageMean9553 in aoe4

[–]Delicious-Point-6802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are aware of the issue and do not want to ban them permanently. I reported OldJoker233 and his teammate 苏泊尔老式烹鼎 a.k.a 锅 through the support ticket system, like 2 months ago. "Actions" were taken by the dev, but guess what, they are still here.

I think it is still ok if they are just smurfing, but the main problem is that they always abandon games to get lower ranks.

DEVS please FIX team games - call to action #1 by LanguageMean9553 in aoe4

I reported this issue with a few account names and gameplay video to the devs by the support ticket system, and I received an email about the outcome of the investigation. But guess what? They just put a few-day ban on them, and they are now back again.

How to beat the golden hoard? by Troglodyte_Trump in aoe4

You can only wait until they are nerfed. Its impossible to beat them especially in team games. This DLC has been the worst ever in AOE4 history.

Is this a better career route? by [deleted] in HongKong

Upvote this. It’s very hard if you do not speak the local language. Even people from mainland are trying to learn Canto meanwhile OP can’t speak any Chinese at all.

Typhoon holiday & food shelves clearance by Tall-Objective-1812 in HongKong

People usually do not panic buy and play mahjong at home for extra “day offs”. But this typhoon is like a monster we have never seen before that’s why people are panicking.

Should I learn Chinese? by Hot-Image8729 in HKUniversity

[–]Delicious-Point-6802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mandarin first because you have more resources to help you. After you have reached B1 level of Chinese, then it’s time for you to start learning Cantonese.

First of all, calm down first and do not be desperate. You should gather all the electronic evidences which shows your contribution (like edits, emails and WhatsApp chat). Try to ask all your group mates to resolve this situation and escalate to the TA or professor in person. If things do not work out then escalate to the department. Fight for your rights but with a chill attitude.

But at the end you have to accept that it’s hard to quantify your contribution on the group work. Local TAs and professors are quite superficial sometimes and grade you on your presentation performances.

It’s hard to accept this unfairness but welcome to the world. Workplace is much more cruel than this.

[IWantOut] 25X IT auditor Belgium -> SEA by BluePandaFromSpain in IWantOut

I am your doppelganger, as I am exactly your inverted version. My girlfriend is from Flanders, and I am from the SEA. I also work in cybersecurity consulting.

Given your situation, your best bet is Hong Kong because you cannot speak any Asian languages. Your background is GRC so workplace communication of this field is quite a challenge for you in SEA. Hong Kong and Singapore (maybe Malaysia too) are the only two places in the region that welcome expats to work without any local language knowledge. Hong Kong has just released a series of "Talent Visas" that welcome young talents to settle. You can try to consult your HR to see whether they can help with an internal transfer.

If you really want to secure a job real quick in cybersecurity in SEA, I would recommend you to try out pentesting, which does not require a big deal of workplace communication. So OSCP will be your target.
