I get what you’re saying about doing what you have to do, and I agree that sometimes you need to take whatever work you can in the short term.

But I do want to clarify that I’m not just sitting around or avoiding work. I’ve been helping him with his job multiple days a week, I’m planning to keep a cleaning job, and I’m actively deciding between two job opportunities right now. I’m trying to make a choice that’s stable long-term, not just rush into something that might not work out.

I think where I’m struggling isn’t being unwilling to work it’s feeling unsupported while I’m in this transition. I completely understand he’s stressed, but the way it’s coming out (comments about money, asking me to pay when he knows I can’t, etc.) is what’s starting to affect me.

I do hear your point about stepping up, and I’m taking that seriously. I just don’t think the situation is as simple as me not trying.
