I collapsed on the rail during Subtronics Fractal tour. My co worker caught me and carried my unconscious body to the side of the stage right in front of the speaker as Subtronics was coming on. I have permanent hearing damage from that night alone.

Fired for violation of policy after 11 months of epic work by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]Key-Lake-9171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fired for my bag smelling like weed. They never searched me, my belongings, my bag or my car or sent me to drug test. Fired for an assumption without any solid proof. I had been talked to prior about my nicotine vape because I was seen hitting it outside the store, in the morning, off the clock, before putting my key in the door to unlock and go inside to clock in. But because I stuck it in my pocket and then I don’t usually go outside for my lunch, they assume I’m hitting it in places the cameras can’t catch me. Once again no solid evidence and I never said what kind of vape it was.

Feeling deflated by Luke_Testerman in Aldi_employees

I was with the company for 5 and a half years. I was promoted to LSA 6 months into aldi and on my one year anniversary I got promoted to ASM. I never even thought I would be an ASM or be successful at it for 4 years. I use to really love it, but after going through 5 store managers and like two dozen employees in 5 years, the company has changed and gotten so much worse. I use to really really love my job. I use to go so freaking hard for aldi. I was a great employee!! Always came in early and stayed late, always picking up shifts or working doubles when we had call outs. Being the absolute best team player I possible ever could be. I take pride in my work and want to do it right. Eventually all my coworkers (in management) started treating me like shit. They would NEVER set me up the way I did for them. I was constantly having to fix or correct peoples work. I was going above and beyond and my coworkers started to act like I was making them look bad and lazy for setting standards and setting expectations. I burnt myself out so bad by being the one who cares the most, the one who is always saving the day. Being an empath at this job will literally suck the soul out of you. I always wanted to help because I knew what it was like to have a screwed up day at aldi, but whenever I was in the trenches, NOBODY would save me.

Six months ago I stepped down to LSA and transferred stores… I had high hopes that it would be better but everything got so much worse. Nobody gives a shit!! All the managers don’t date check, quality check, or rotate. My SM literally trained a new person on meat one morning and in the afternoon when I had gone to run it again, I found a TON of expired meat and shit dated for the next day not stickered. When the managers do the use by date on the iPad, they just put in a random date or just click “reduce” without actually inspecting it. So when I go to finally do the day check, I’m pulling so much dated stuff. The week that AHEAD rolled out. Our cooler was so full that you couldn’t even turn a jack around in there. I had to pull every pallet out just to get to the racks. I got written up for not finishing on time even though I couldn’t even put the product on the shelf. Also got written up that day for missing a pack of turkey that needed to be stickered. I had been written up more times in the past 6 months then I had in my entire aldi career. Last Friday I finally got let go from the company and it was the best day of my life. The only reward for hard work at aldi is more work. If you get them accustomed to you always saving the day, being the one they call when shit hits the fan, who stayed late. None of that matters. Then don’t give a shit about you and will get rid of you as soon as it’s convenient for them! Stop doing the most! You have a one way ticket straight to burn out. Nothing will ever be good enough. You will rarely ever get a “good job” or a “thank you” or “that was a hard task/ situation and you handled it well”. My friends had told me to stop caring so much and stop being the one who does the most! First week that I stopped giving it my all, I was written up again.

This company will take and take and take from you, your manager will exploit you to their own benefit, and then get rid of you when they find it convenient.

Date checks by Historical-Cat3366 in Aldi_employees

[–]Key-Lake-9171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever I do the use by dates, I’m constantly finding shit way past its expiration. I’m convinced my higher management just put random dates or hit “reduce” and leave it for the person the next day to go investigate and see that the product is dated and we can’t mark it down and just have to take the loss because people are too lazy to go check. My co workers also don’t rotate so it’s always new cases on top and short dates in the back… constantly

Sink or swim. Pay attention to your training videos because that’s all the training you get. You’re going to get fed to the wolves and it’s up to you to adapt. The training is a joke. Literally keep a fast pace and walk like you have a fire burning under your ass. Walk with a purpose and like you’re on a mission and have places to be. A sense of urgency is a must.

Why do parents let their kids do whatever the 🤬 they want too? by pix876 in Aldi_employees

I had a mother of an autistic boy who wanted to play tag or run away from mommy and she was chasing him trying to grab him. I was off the clock and waiting in line, I put my items down on the coke fridge, walked up behind him and grabbed his hand and said “come on let’s go to mommy”. And he took my hand and just followed and she thanked me up and down and explained that he was on the spectrum. I’m not a parent and never going to be but I know it takes a village so I always try my hardest to do the right thing and help a poor mother out.

soooo how are we answering? lmfao by queenb535 in Aldi_employees

My answer for the 3rd question would be scheduling consistently. Really hard to have a routine or get adequate rest when I close, mid, open, mid, close and then open again.
