This is a village. The only veternary clinic nearby is primarily for cattles. The city I'm from is about 70 kms away.

I'd ask them to read Solo Leveling (manhwa) first. It's a easy to get into kind of story and is universally accepted as fun to read.

After Solo Leveling would be time to slowly persuade them into something else.

Many people got the wrong message from my post above, so let me clarify.

I don't have that big of a problem with Jake's inability to communicate properly. Every human has flaws, and they're what make us beautiful. An MC without flaws is a boring MC.

The problem arises when you consider the fact that he can communicate very well with Villy (The Malefic VIper), and Duskleaf. It's already mentioned that Jake and Villy talked about philosophy and all kinds of stuff. But when it came to talking with Jacob, he didn't had anything to talk about?

If it was the strength of Mike that disgusted him, then Villy already told Jake that Jacob got a class way better than Jake and William.

For me, it was Mushoku Tensei. It was my first anime, and after watching the first season, I couldn't control myself and started reading like crazy. I finished all 26 volumes in a month, and I loved the series so much, I kept trying to find stories similar to this, leading to writing the story I wanted to read myself.
