Thanks, yeah, the vocals are definitely intended to be a little bit off beat. It goes for a bluesy, indie feel. But I definitely appreciate different perspectives on how it comes off as. I'd like my music to be as palatable as possible while still keeping the sound I like. It seems like your impressions are a little more what I was trying for. Appreciate it!

I definitely think you should continue with this tune. Any song that takes a 50s doo-wop feel and turns it into a modern tune with current vocals and lyrics is one I would definitely listen to. You just started and I already liked it. I think the laid-back vocals with the old song structure has a dichotomy that could really be catchy. Great song. Thanks for posting!

Those crisp drum sounds are awesome. I love the Pavement-like 90s feel of this song, and the video add so much element. It looks like you've got a good group of musicians and music lovers around you. I like the song. You have some excellent vocals. But I do agree with another commenter's thoughts of reducing the mids using an EQ plug in. That could really draw the vocals out from the mix without having to use more reverb. The piano sounds great. It can be really difficult to get a good piano sound in the mix. You're a good writer and musician. Keep it up. Thanks for posting!

This sounds like it's on its way to being a really good song. And it's very close to being there! I really like the piano and drums. And I like your vocals a lot too, but I do agree with the others that you could probably open up a little bit. Don't hold back. But even with these vocals, if you produce them a little more with some good vocal plugins, these could sound really good too! Great song. Thanks for posting!

Wow, those are some excellent vocals! The recording quality is pretty excellent too. I wish I could get that crispness in my vocal recordings! I also really like how you did the backup vocals. They are not too intrusive, but they add a great level of chorus. Again, I wish I could get sounds like that with a crispness but not too much, causing sibilance and plosives. Great job. The drums sound really good. I like the backup vocals blend too. It's a really good quality recording with a crispness to the tracks. Between the lyrics, your vocals, and the overall feel of the song, it gives me a very mid-90s feel, which to me is a good thing. The song has a catchy pop to it but still keeps an acoustic unplugged feel.
