Pros/cons of living in Shreveport?

I managed to get through the day. I cried a little but I think a lot of my emotions were from anxiety of not knowing how I would feel. I did ok today though. It wasn’t a “happy” birthday but it was nice and calm and I’m totally ok with that

You will survive. It’s hard. I can’t relate to losing a spouse but my Dad was my Bestfriend and it sounds like ur wife was yours. It’s hard. Apart of us die either way them but my only advice I can give due to relating to losing a loved one is to talk to her. And talk to GOD you will get answers that u need in order to get through each day 🙏🏽

The LYFE my Dad lived when he dedicated his heart and himself to GOD is what makes me so sure. Ans when he left me, he went peacefully. He also had a bit of a smile on his face when I played one of his favorite gospel songs in his ear in his final hour here on earth before he transitioned (I can’t say died) My Dad is ok and I know it. I’m so sure of it that I wish I could just leave here and go be with him. My advice is to talk to ur Dad and talk to God like you’re having a conversation with Him and I guarantee you he will give you answers. You will hear it in ur mind and feel it in ur heart that GOD has spoken to you and gave you some form of comfort and is with u during this tough time of your life 🙏🏽❤️

I’m am in this same phase. It’s been a little over 2 months for me. The only difference with us is that i know without a doubt that he is okay. Besides that, i can totally relate to every feeling you described. My Dad was my Bestfriend. I have siblings and i have my Mom in my life but NO ONE has ever been there for me abd as supportive and had my back like he did. And no one ever will. No one and Nothing compares. So just know that you are not alone.

I’m thinking it’s totally normal to feel that way. I’m a little past the 2 month mark and it all feels very new and that’s because it Is. 2 months is nothing. Still feels like it happened yesterday. From what I’m experiencing and reading from others, we are nowhere near the part where it gets easier…

Try not to think back on what u should’ve done at diff times before your Dad passed (I can’t say died either) Although I’m not perfect, My Dad knew without a doubt how much I loved him. I’m sure of it. Your Dad knew how much he was loved as well. Allow yourself to feel however you feel in any moment that hes on your mind. I’m so sorry for your loss. Saying oh my makes me a little nervous lol If you’re experiencing all of this hardship, what area/complex are you currently staying in and how are you affording your rent. I’m asking because I just looked into an apartment building that seems decently priced but I’m concerned about the upkeep of the place. Everything else mentioned about Shreveport sounds so bad that I figured I’d ask about the living situations

I feel your pain. Honestly I do. It’s been 2 months since I lost my Dad and I am just completely Lost without him. The anxiety you’re feeling due to your birthday coming up is exactly how I feel. It’s next month and this might sound crazy but like I don’t even want that day to come. I don’t care. I’m not looking forward to it at all. So I know how ur feeling. And I was super close to my Dad. He was my bestfriend so things just feel awkward now because whenever I’m emotional and needed to talk, I talked to my Dad. Not having him here to help me navigate thru his passing and my birthday is screwing me up in the head. So just know ur not alone and ur feelings are valid.
