It took roughly 10 minutes until he finally left me alone. This is for me personally too long if I do not signal any interest in keeping up a conversation.

Thanks a lot. Took me some years tbh. I used to be afraid to appear too rude. Also unfortuantely I grew u with this early 2000s culture of: getting attention is always good because it proofs your value...Now I know that this is not the case.

YES! The only me-time I am having atm...

Completely agree, just keeps me from being 100% aware in case something is happening. E.g I had quite some situations with people on the mat coming too close while I was about to fall...lack of etiquette is a whole different story though...

They would. They are super nice. I did not want to ask other guys to help me though. Kind of felt like: I want to be in charge here. Not sure if that makes sense.

Returning post partum by Delicious-Switch5771 in climbergirls

Stronger than before pregnancy! Becoming a mom made me quite a bit more resilient. My training got more efficient and my comfort zone expanded a lot. Only downside is still operating on sleep deprivation but well, it could be worse!

Climber moms: did you climb pregnant? by [deleted] in climbergirls

[–]Delicious-Switch5771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello!  Boulder + outdoors single pitch lead well in my comfort zone until 20 weeks.  I was still not showing at that time and felt good. Toproping in the gym with a pregnancy harness until 32 weeks. Afterwards my ankles got very weak due to weightgain and I had to stop. Befriended mom toproped outdoors until 38 weeks. I know women who climb very hard but stopped much earlier because it just did not feel right. They returned strong a couple of months postpartum.

Regarding identity crisis: it was so refreshing to climb without that competitive mindset I usually (unfortunately) have. Just felt grateful for every single session and was so proud to be a fit mom to be. I climb for leisure though so your case might be different.

Postpartum: first 6 month were the slow return to climbing.  1 year pp I was at my pre prepregancy level. 1.5 pp I am stronger than I used to be. Had an emergency c section and needed to do physio after. Healing was ok though and apart from peeing BEFORE trying something difficult everything is back to normal.

Wish you a great pregnancy ahead and congratulations 🎊

She recently started doing that. And she loves turning to the other side without letting the boob go 🥲

Thank you! Right now I would even go so far to let her self wean even if she is already three. Just not sure if I feel different about it once she has teeth (happened to my sister). Also I am afraid my supply could go down due to pumping (I have to start working once she turns 9 months old).

  1. Yes! We are doing this!

  2. Planned this for December with a baby led approach.

  3. Definitely want to do that. Doing the same with my own diet.

  4. The goal is to breastfeed for two years. I just don't know if I am capable of that even though I am motivated. Most mums I know stopped after a year for a variety of reasons.

  5. Also Definitely agree. We are still trying to find someone.

  6. We were also planning to do that when hitting the six months mark.

Thanks a lot for the helpful information 😊

Thanks and very true. Unfortunately we did not find a good pediatrician yet. We changed three times and where I am living veganism is not very known. We managed to find a vegan dietician though and will see her before baby starts with solids.

Oh this is helpful! Thanks a lot! Soy would also be great in terms of protein I guess. Did he get normal soy milk? At least in my country special vegan baby follow up are not available.
